Usually, when an iPod is stuck in "hold," that's a hardware failure in the switch itself. If it's still under warranty, contact Apple (or take it to an Apple store) to arrange for a replacement. If it's not under warranty any more, you can take it to an Apple store and they'll give you a discount on a new iPod if you trade yours in.

The wire has to have a very good connection, for instance I can plug my charger into my laptop and my laptop doesn't recognize that it is plugged in, If I don't have a can of compressed air then I blow in the end of my charger and blow in the computer where I plug the charger into and sometimes that works but keep in mind you have to blow pretty hard, compressed air works better. I guess that the dust can keep the cable from getting a connection. Or your cables could be bad.

1) You have to enter your iTunes password. Enter the password to continue downloading the app.

Here's what you need to do: Hook up your ipod to your computer with a usb cable(which should have come with the ipod) and may or may not synch automatically, if it doesn't synch automatically then go to the icon of an ipod on the left hand side of the screen. Then click try later (there will be an ad) and then it will bring you to the next screen where, in the middle, is a checklist of what you want synched. Once you've gotten that checked to your liking click on the synch button in the bottom right corner of your screen. If this doesn't work ask someone else because that's the best i can do for you.

If you downloaded the movie using iTunes, you can do this two ways:

1) Download iTunes on your computer, search for the movie, download it using iTunes (it will be free since you already purchased it), and sync it to your iPod.

2) Go to the other computer and download it to your iPod using iTunes by going to "Movies" and dragging the movie to your iPod under "Devices" (when it is plugged in)
