You do not need an iTunes account to use the iTunes software with an iPod. You can use the iTunes software to manage your music on your computer or imported from your CDs or purchased from one of the many download sites. You only need to set up an iTunes account if you wish to purchase items from the iTunes store.

If your iPod is taking too long to load, check the wi-fi and make sure you have a connection. If you do, then take it in to the Apple Store. They should have a good solution.

You should be able to connect your ipod-touch to your PC computer, you will want to have itunes downloaded on your computer though. You may have itunes all ready in that case when you plug your ipod-touch it will open automatically if not you can download itunes here: http:/www.apple.com/itunes/download
NOTE: it is set up to download the mac version at the bottom there should be a button saying get itunes for windows click that and it will be set up for windows.


otherwise i think you can just use your ipod as a drive and drag and drop music files into it and it should work, but you need itunes to activate your ipod at first.

The cheapest ipod is the ipod shuffle. It is about $60-$100 I believe, doesn't have a screen, and is a little smaller than a matchbox. If you are looking cheap, but want a screen, check out mp3 players. The next cheapest ipod is the nano, and is about $150-$200.
