If you have 4 jars of pills Each pill is a certain weight except for contaminated pills contained in one jar where each pill is weight plus 1 How could you tell which jar had the contaminated pills?

well, given that a normal pill weighs x that would mean that the contaminated pills weigh x+1. so if we take each pill bottle and weigh it we will take the heaviest pill bottle seeing as the contaminated pills weigh more then normal pill, this is what i see as the easiest answer

Why is the answer derived from an algorithm not the same as an average for example IQ scores are not an average of the subtest scores but a score derived from an algorithm?

it is obvious the average is not by just one person it is by a group of people so you need to ask a group of people what their IQ is and add them all up then divide them by the number you used

How long does it take to make batik?

It depends on how many colors you would like to have and on the complexity of your design. The more complex your design, the more time you will spend painting it on your fabric with the wax. After you're done with the waxing on one layer, give it some time to make sure all wax is hard. Then it would take about an hour to dye the fabric. Then you'll need to let it dry by itself (I'm not sure if you can use a dryer, it may be bad for your fabric), which would take at least a couple-three hours, depending on the material and on how big your piece of fabric is. Then you'll need to repeat these steps for all color layers of your batik.

I'm not sure how long the boiling/ironing takes when you take off the wax--have not done it yet.

In general, I'd say you'll probably be able to do one or two layers of color per day, so it would take several days.

Who has the lowest IQ an idiot or imbecile?

In historical classifications of intellectual disabilities, an idiot was considered to have the lowest level of intelligence, followed by an imbecile and then a moron. However, these terms are no longer used in professional contexts due to their negative and outdated connotations. Intelligence is now understood to be a complex and multifaceted trait that cannot be fully captured by a single IQ score.

What does it mean if your IQ is 142?

An IQ of 142 is classified as 'very superior intelligence.'

It means that you have the potential to be capable of processing significant amounts of information faster and more accurately that 95% of the people that you will come in contact with in your lifetime.

Please notice the word potential. Having a high IQ does not mean that you are guaranteed success. Many people with high IQ's struggle with life because they process things differently than most people and therefor have trouble relating to those around them.

One of the best examples I have heard regarding this type of situation was from a professor of mine at Colorado State. She stated that someone with a high IQ must work twice as hard as a person with an "average" IQ. Why? Those with higher IQ's grasp concepts that normal people can't comprehend. Therefor, we ust work twice as hard to find a way to explain what we have grasped in a way others can understand. Throw a learning difference like ADD/HD in the mix and you have someone that not only can process information at a ridiculous rate, but can't explain how he/she got to the conclusion.

Another problem with having a high IQ at a young age is that curriculum is often designed to target those closer to the mean IQ range of 100. High IQ individuals are able to "skate" by with minimal effort which does them no good in life after school. A high IQ without a proper education is like a modern supercomputer running Microsoft Windows 3.1. Massive computational power, small knowledge database.
