Why do Muslims treat Christians badly?

Answer 1

Who said that! they're exactly the same apart from Muslims pray 5 times a day and don't believe Jesus is the son of god.

Answer 2

No. They are not exactly the same and are in fact quite different religions. As concerns the issue of respect, Muslims are typically more concerned about the world insulting their traditions and their prophets than they are in pursuing a true and lasting equality with other religions. This was an attitude that most Christians had 500 years ago, but Christendom has become more open and accepting of other positions in the interim.

Christians in the Arab World are still treated as second class citizens because that is the place accorded them in the Qur'an. They are called "Dhimmi" which means that they are protected by Muslims. However, it raises the question "protected from what or from whom?". In the medieval period, before the Enlightenment and the creation of Natural Rights, a person only had what privileges were extended to him from the rulers and did not have the ability to claim that because he was a human being that he was entitled to some basic forms of respect. Muslims still operate on this premise of granted authority as concerns religious values. Christianity only has permission to perform religious actions not the liberty to perform them.

How did muslims treat conquered christians?

Muslims treat all non-Muslims; irrelevant to their faiths; with tolerance and mutual respect. This stems from the Islam teachings per Muslims holy book Quran and per prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) teachings. Muslims treat Christians and Jews and all non Muslims kindly and with tolerance so far they don't attack Muslims, they don't expel them from their lands and homes, and/or they don't fight them. Quran; Muslims holy book, and prophet Muhammad (PBUH) call for kind treatment and with tolerance with all non-Muslims. Muslims follow the Islam teachings that no compulsion in religion. They conquered land but never conquered people. It was their aim to free the will people and not to exploit them or exploit their resources. Refer to the example of Spain. Muslims transferred to Spain all kinds of development and technologies. Even when they withdrew from Spain, the Jews that were oppressed in Spain didn't find any place to accept them except Islamic countries in Morocco and Egypt and elsewhere of Islamic countries Refer to questions below for more information.

In lslam . to kill a person . it's as if killing all of mankind . Murder , in Islam is considered a very serious sin. For a believer to another believer , is unimaginable.

The accused , is sent to Islamic court . Islamic court follows shariah law. Which is very closely related to Jewish Law. The person, will judged and so forth. The family , of the victim as the power to order the person to be killed , or receive blood money from the accused ,or the family forgives the accused. If blood money , is chose in , then the accused given's the family , whatever , amount is decided. After that point , the family may never , speak or see the accused.............and the shariah law!!!

Additionally, in most countries, regardless of whether they apply Shari'a Law or not, killing is felony and will be prosecuted by the secular courts of that country. The penalty may be anything from several years imprisonment for manslaughter up to life imprisonment and capital punishment for pre-planned intentional murder. Of course, such laws do not discriminate based on the fact that a Muslim committed the killing or that a Muslim was killed.

Why is hajj performed?

The fifth pillar of Islam is hajj (or pilgrimage) to Mecca (or Makkah) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is obligatory to every adult Muslim, regardless the Gender, to go for hajj at least once in life if he/she can afford it physically, financially, and safely.

Hajj (pilgrimage) is a great annual event for Muslims. There are many reasons why Muslims perform hajj which translate into the following main numerous benefits of Hajj:

  • It teaches us that Muslims are brothers and are all equal.
  • It teaches us that no differences among people due to race, tribe, color, home country, or tongue language.
  • It teaches us, practically, the real human rights when you find people equal during praying, worshiping, and during performing the rituals.
  • Hajj teaches us that we are belonging to God (Allah) alone and that we all need his mercy and forgiveness.
  • Hajj is biggest world gathering in the world. It is a demonstration of Islam unity and Islam universality.
  • Muslims get acquainted with the spiritual and historical environment of the prophet Muhammad which strengthen their faith.
  • It is a reminder of the Grand Assembly of the Day of Judgment when people will stand equal before Allah waiting for their final destiny.
  • It confirms commitment of Muslims to Allah.
  • On top of the above, Muslims on Hajj are rewarded, per God will, with forgiveness of all their sins and they return back as pure and innocent as the new born.

When prophet Abraham (or Ibrahim); peace be upon him; finished the rising up of Ka'bah, he prayed Allah (or God in English and same God worshiped in Christianity and Judaism) to bless Makkah (or Mecca) and its vicinity and to make people come visit it until the Day of Judgement though it was remote and in the desert. Qur'an says (meaning English translation):

"Remember Abraham said: "O my Lord! Make this city one of peace and security: and preserve me and my sons from worshipping idols. "O my Lord! They have indeed led astray many among mankind; he then who follows my (way) is of me, and he that disobeys me, but You are indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. "O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in a valley without cultivation, by Your Sacred House; in order, O our Lord, that they may establish regular Prayer: so fill the hearts of some among people with love towards them, and feed them with Fruits: so that they may give thanks." (14:35-7)

Allah always relates the story of Hajj and Ibrahim to Tawheed and Islam, which is the way of Ibrahim, Muhammad, and all the prophets (Peace be upon them).

"Remember We made the House a place of assembly for men and a place of safety. And take the Station of Abraham as a place of prayer; and We covenanted with Abraham and Isma'il, that they should sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or use it as a retreat, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in Prayer). And remember Abraham said: "My Lord, make this a City of Peace, and feed its People with fruits' such of them as believe in Allah and the Last Day." He said: "(Yes), and such as reject Faith, for a while will I grant them their Pleasure, but will soon drive them to the torment of Fire, an evil destination (indeed)!" And remember Abraham and Isma'il raised the foundations of the House (with this prayer): "Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us: for You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. "Our Lord! Make of us Muslims bowing to Your Will); and of our progeny a people Muslim, bowing to Your (Will); and show us our places for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in Mercy); for You are the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. "Our Lord! Send amongst them a Messenger of their own, who shall rehearse Your Signs to them and instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom, and sanctify them: for You are the Exalted in Might, the Most Wise." And who turns away from the religion of Abraham but such as debase their souls with folly? Him We chose and rendered pure in this world: and he will be in the Hereafter in the ranks of the Righteous. Behold! His Lord said to him: "Bow (your will to Me):" he said: "I bow (my will) to the Lord and Cherisher of the Universe." And this was the Legacy that Abraham left to his sons, and so did Jacob; "O my sons! Allah has chosen the Faith for you; then die not except in the state of submission (to Allah)" (2:125-32)

Are Islam and zoroastrianism the same religion?

"Zoroastrianism /ˌzɒroʊˈæstriənɪzəm/, also called Mazdaism and Magianism, is a religion and philosophy based on the teachings of prophet Zoroaster (also known as Zarathustra, in Avestan) and was formerly among the world's largest religions.[1] It was probably founded some time before the 6th century BCE in the eastern part of ancient Greater Iran.

In Zoroastrianism, the Creator Ahura Mazda is all good, and no evil originates from him. Thus, in Zoroastrianism good and evil have distinct sources, with evil (druj) trying to destroy the creation of Mazda (asha), and good trying to sustain it. Mazda is not alwaysimmanent in the world, and his creation is represented by the Amesha Spentas and the host of other Yazatas, through whom the works of God are evident to humanity, and through whom worship of Mazda is ultimately directed. The most important texts of the religion are those of the Avesta, of which a significant portion has been lost, and mostly only the liturgies of which have survived. The lost portions are known of only through references and brief quotations in the later works, primarily from the 9th to 11th centuries.

In some form, it served as the national or state religion of a significant portion of the Iranian people for many centuries. The religion first dwindled when the Achaemenid Empire was invaded by Alexander III of Macedon, after which it collapsed and disintegrated[2]and it was further gradually marginalized by Islam from the 7th century onwards with the decline of the Sassanid Empire.[3] The political power of the pre-Islamic Iranian dynasties lent Zoroastrianism immense prestige in ancient times, and some of its leading doctrines were adopted by other religious systems. It has no major theological divisions (the only significant schism is based on calendar differences), but it is not uniform. Modern-era influences have a significant impact on individual and local beliefs, practices, values and vocabulary, sometimes merging with tradition and in other cases displacing it."

-Wikipedia

Basically; Zoroastrianism founded some time before 600 BCE (Before Common Era -Before Christ-) but Islam founded in ~600 CE (Common Era) which means there is 1200 years difference between them. They can not be same.

  3. deny the 2nd eternal life after Day of Judgement where all people will be judged by God and either be rewarded; by God mercy; and accepted in His Paradise or be punished; due to their bad deeds and wrong faith; and pushed in His Hell fire.

Why the Roman Catholic Church wanted to capture Jerusalem from the Islamic People?

Catholic AnswerThe Crusades were organized to come to the aid of Christians living in the Holy Land, not to "get Jerusalem back". The Muslims slaughtered and enslaved Christians, who had been living in the Holy Land for centuries. Those who survived were reduced to unspeakable conditions. For many years, the Pope had enough troubles in Europe and just protecting the papal states, but when they were able to turn their attention to the repeated cries for help from the Christians in the Holy Land, they did.

.

from Seven Lies About Catholic History, by Diane Moczar

Unprovoked Muslim aggression in the seventh century brought large parts of the southern Byzantine Empire, including Syria, the Holy Land, and Egypt under Arab rule. Christians who survived the conquests found themselves subject to a special poll tax and discriminated against as an inferior class known as dhimmi. Often their churches were destroyed and other harsh conditions imposed. For centuries their complaints had been reaching Rome, but Europe was having its own Dark Age of massive invasion, and nothing could be done to relieve the plight of eastern Christians.

By the eleventh century, under the rule of a new Muslim dynasty, conditions worsened. The Church of the Holy Sepulcher, site of the Crucifixion was destroyed, along with a large number of other churches, and Christian pilgrims were massacred. In 1067 a group of seven thousand peaceful German pilgrims lost two-thirds of their number to Muslim assaults. By this time the popes, including St. Gregory VII, were actively trying to rally support for relief of eastern Christians, though without success. It was not until the very end of the century, in 1095, that Pope Urban's address at Clermont in France met with a response-though not quite the one he had hoped for. But the response was what we now call the First Crusade.

"The general consensus of opinion among medievalists . . . is that the Crusades were military expeditions organized by the peoples of Western Christendom, notably the Normans and the French, under the leadership of the Roman Popes, for the recover of the Holy Places from their Muslim masters." This seems to sum up most neatly what the Crusades really were and how their participants actually viewed them. The Crusades were not colonialist or commercial ventures, they were not intended to force Christianity on Jews and Muslims, and they were not the projects of individual warlords. Their primary goal, in addition to the defense of the Eastern Empire, was the recovery of the Holy Land for Christendom, and they acknowledged the leadership of the Popes. As French historian Louis Brehier wrote, 'the popes alone understood the menace of Islam's progress for christian civilization.'"
