I have a 2004 Wrangler Sahara with an automatic and large tires and get about 14 mpg, almost all around town driving.

The fan blade may be loose. You can determine this when the engine is off by moving the fan blade by hand or by watching it rotate when the engine is running. if its a real loud then i would check out the harmonic balancer. to check this. with the engine OFF grab the belt and try and move it back and forth if it does and u hear a noise than its the balancer. i had the same problem i fixed it my self saving $$$$$$$, but it was a pain....u need atleast 2 people to fix this. good luck On my 94 Buick Century the water pumb made a loud clanking noise at idle, which would go away when revved up. A day later the water pump seized up and the belt smoked up a storm where it rubbed over the stuck pulley.

The jack and tire iron in the Jeep Liberty is located under the right rear seat. There is a large knob, easily visible, when you look in that area. Turn it counterclockwise to release the jack and tire iron. On my car the knob is very hard to turn. It think this answer would apply to all Jeep Liberty's. If you mean for a manual transmission, it calls for Mopar manual transmission fluid but it is very expensive. You can use Mobil1 10w-30 extended mileage oil as a direct replacement. About $7.75 qt.

Remove the four bolts holding the coil pack to the passenger side cylinder head.

Lift coil rail off of engine.

Using the appropriate sized spark plug tool, unscrew the spark plugs 1 at a time from the engine and replace with correctly gapped plugs.

My 2004 Rubicon is rated at 2000 lbs. and 200lbs tongue weight. An Unlimited is rated to 3000lbs I believe.

As the rear brakes are disc type, you will need a decent socket set, brake cleaning spray and most importantly, a large C-clamp to push the piston back into the bore prior to installing the caliper. To do the job right, always replace the rotors and be sure to spray everything down with brake cleaner during reassembly. No other special tools are needed.

While you're at it, bleed the hydraulic lines before you reassemble as well. Check axle seals and brake cylinders for leakage, smear a dab of anti-squeal compound on the metal side of each shoe and torque lugs up to specs, usu. 90-100 ft. lbs. I always lightly lube stud threads before torquing to prevent rusting. Have fun!

in a 2004 rubicon behind the glove box on the fuse panel are 2 fuses outlined in black that say airbag i can only guess to pull the fuse My 2000 has a switch in front of the shifter for turning off the passenger airbag.
