Why does a job ask you if you are bondable?

It's like insurance. You would know if you weren't bondable. You wouldn't be bondable if you had gotten into big trouble for stealing or something like that. That question is usually asked for jobs that require you to handle money and possibly valuable merchandise. Bonding is frequently called ""reverse insurance". Insurance is intended to pay someone for damages by an event that, may or may not have any fault, but is essentially expected to possibly happen, (like a house fire). An insurance company expects to pay some losses - the risk of that loss, to the degree that it is more than the fee/premium charged, is shifted from the insured to the insurance company. Bonding on the other hand, is a way to assure payment (or performance of something) for an event that really should never happen. If payment/performance under a bond must occur, the Bonding Company will try and get paid by the one it bonded. It never agreed there should be or to accept any loss. Hence, along with a fee the company normally gets security/liens/mortgage that it feels is adequate to reimburse it for any amounts it pays. Bonds come in many, frequently specific & independent forms. For example, it is common that a building contractor will have to provide 3 different bonds in many jobs: Bidding, Performance, & Payment. The bid bond assures that if he bids to do a job - wins the bid - and then doesn't agree to to the job as bid, the one who was requesting the bid (and now has to go through the time and expense of redoing it all) gets compensated. The contractor may also have to provide a Performance bond, which basically means if he fails to complete the contract, (walks off the job, etc., ) and the buyer needs to get someone else to do it, there is compensation in the bond amount. This bond may even cover the warrenty period, so there is a way to assure the contractors 10 year guarantee, if say, he's gone then. (Sometimes, instead of paying, the Bonding Company will/must actually step in and hire another contractor to perform). There may be a bond required to assure that payments made to the general Contractor that should be paid to the sub contractors , suppliers or employees, are actually paid to those people. (If the contractor fails to pay a supplier/worker, those people actually have a lien against your property until they are paid, even if you paid the contractor). Hence, a bond is essentially that a large, capable organization (generally an insurance company), agrees that those taking on a responsibility are actually responsible, or the bonding Company will perform in its behalf or compensate....and then get renumeration from the one causing the problem. In most job situations, it means you are considered responsible to be trusted with money, (under what would be expected to be controlled guidelines of your employer). Just being able to be bonded for something, indicating another presumably large/reputable company will stand behind you, is a sign of quality and integrity.

Why MBA after bsc?

Why an MBA

The MBA is not an end in itself, but a means to an end. It is a degree designed to give you the ability to develop your career to its fullest potential, at an accelerated pace. What will you get out of an MBA? Aside from a powerful life experience, the MBA degree should supply three main value propositions: Skills, Networks, and Brand. Skills These include the "hard skills" of economics, finance, marketing, operations, management, and accounting, as well as the "soft skills " of leadership, teamwork, ethics, and communication that are so critical for effective management. MBA students acquire these skills inside and outside the classroom. Since MBA programs attract people from very diverse industries and cultures, a program should be able to leverage these differences and translate them into learning opportunities. Networks An MBA degree program offers access to a network of MBA students, alumni, faculty, and business and community leaders. This network can be very useful when beginning a job search, developing a career path, building business relationships in your current career, or pursuing expertise outside your current field. For example, entrepreneurs need access to capital, business partners, vendors, and clients. Arts-related businesses need access to funding and strategic management in order to position themselves to be relevant in the marketplace. Global businesses need access to local business cultures as they expand their enterprises to new territories. Brand The MBA degree is a recognized brand that signifies management and leadership training. The particular school and type of MBA program you attend also have brand associations that can help open doors based on the school's reputation. The strength of a school's brand is based on the program's history, its ability to provide students with technical skills and opportunities for personal growth, and the reach of its alumni and industry network. A powerful brand can give you the flexibility to make changes throughout your career. Source: http://www.wharton.upenn.edu/mba/admissions/decision/why.cfm

What would you do if you found out that a recently hired coworker holding the same responsibilities you have was making third more than you?

Most employers discourage discussion of job wages so there is not this problem of disgruntled employees. Employers do not base pay solely on responsibilities - sometimes coworkers may be offered more pay with similar tasks due to the other person having more experience, more education, etc.

Also if your coworker has to travel then the company may pay them more in order to cover the travel expenses and let's say they are being paid more - some organizations are paid by the counties the people work in so the company pays the employee for one county more than another because the funding stream goes from the county to the organization.

What is the ability to work independently and to demonstrate initiative?

The ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative can mean a high performer innovative thinker. But in more general terms, these traits mean you do not need to constantly ask a supervisor or peer for help. You see a task that needs done, that you are confident to do, and simply do it. You take initiative from inner prompting of ethical work activities. Here are two examples:

Employee 1 was given 10 tasks to do. He finishes those tasks quickly and completely. He then secretly starts to surf the Internet using his cellphone. When his supervisor passes by, he pretends to be reading one of the files (which he already completed). He takes frequent bathroom breaks; he cannot be found at his desk. He starts another set of files, but does not finish them. He does very little "work" while at work.

Employee 2 also had 10 tasks to do. She isn't quite as fast as Employee 1 but she also finishes her work completely and quickly. She sees her supervisor is on the phone, but the employee knows there are more files that need work. She picks up another stack, and begins working. When she finishes, she notices a peer is struggling to do a task, so she offers to help the other employee. When done, she picks up another set of files to work on. During a break, she notices the office coffee pot is empty; she stops to wash the pot and set it back up to brew more coffee. On the way back to her desk, she sees files toppled over onto the floor--she picks them up and checks that nothing is amiss. Throughout the day, she completes 10x more more than Employee 1.

Is it okay for a woman to wear a navy blue suit and a white shirt for a job interview?

I would seriously consider going out and purchasing a suit. It's well worth it to make a good impression, and if your size doesn't fluctuate, you can get more than one use out of it. If you really can't afford a suit, then do you have a pair of dress pants? Preferably black. Some other dark, neutral color might work. A white or cream blouse. Perhaps a cardigan to complete the look. However, this type of outfit is business casual and it's still usually best to go into an interview looking more formal.

What were the strengths and weaknesses of Moses?

The Bible describes Moses as fearless and loyal, as when he killed the Egyptian who struck another Israelite. Other strengths given for Moses were his honesty and self-awareness. When the Lord chose him to lead the Israelites, he first said that he was not eloquent and would not make a good leader.

By killing the Egyptian and therefore committing a grave sin, he exposed his own moral weakness. Few other weaknesses are described in the text. A relevant, although indirect weakness concerns doubts about his very existence. Over 90 per cent of scholars are reported as believing that the Exodus never occurred as described in the Bible, implying that Moses, the great leader of the Exodus, never existed either.

Why are employers interested in weather or not a job applicant has good self management skills?

Self-management skills are good indicators of how well the job applicant will "fit" into the organization.

Why are you interested in becoming a medical coder?

This is a type of question that you may be presented with at a job interview.

It is intended to get you to talk about yourself in an informal way and to help the interviewer to make an evaluation.

As you are the only one that can answer such questions you should think carefully about them beforehand. This is the part of the interview where you can sell yourself.

Do not just repeat the same lines you have read in a book or online, the interviewer will know all those answers.

Think positive and be original.

What do you think are the most important quality of a good leader?

One of the most important qualities a leader can have is good communication. Without good communication their message will be lost.

What are three negative qualities about yourself?

Technically, one could argue that there are so such things as bad character traits, as humans have developed intricate psychological traits through 200,000 years of evolution, each with their own purpose. However, many of these traits are outdated, as humans are literally discovering technologies that basically nullify the need for some personality traits.

TANGENT ALERT! A physical manifestation of this principle is obesity. Early humans needed to store as much food as possible and eat as many lipids (fats) and sugars, as the environment was extremely unpredictable and because of this, food supply was often cut off for long periods of time. Humans now have steady access to food and do not need to run to catch it- we crave fats and sugars because they were once a rarity. However, with the advent of couches, TV, supermarkets and the internet, humans have no need to store food. Unfortunately, our bodies have not yet realised this, and continue urging us to consume as much fat and sugar as possible.

Anyways, the point is that every emotion, every personality trait is a tool that we humans use in certain situations. For instance anger is a common emotion that humans display when threatened or annoyed. Anger enables us to appear intimidating, and thus gives us the ability to scare "predators" away.

With this said, society has involuntarily learned to frown upon certain behaviors that are considered evolutionarily negated. Three examples of this are

-Narcissism

-Dishonesty

-Racism

What are the strengths and limitations of relativism?

Positive Negative Whatever you believe is right, is right according to act utilitarianism. Act Utilitarianism gives too much freedom No one really knows whether or not their action is going to be morally right or wrong because no one can look into the future No one knows whether an action will be beneficial to others What someone thinks is right may not be right for another individual and so we are unable to know whether our actions are morally right or wrong.

What do you find most challenging role in your present job?

The interviewer is trying to what you've found challenging in the past and how you dealt with it. It could be challenging that you had to work alot of weekends, or overtime, or that some customers were very demanding.

Give a specific example to every question you're asked.

How to answer describe your ideal boss?

To me, an ideal job is one where I get treated well, the salary is very good (no it doesn't have to be millions; there is more to life than money), a good team, positive environment, a place where I can learn, and good management that listens to and takes care of their employees.

There is no perfect job out there. I would never say any one field is best. My dad did construction for 35 years and he liked it. I did it for 1 year and will never do it again. I work as a system administrator at a desk and make my own hours. I like it. My brother owns his own business. To us, these are all ideal jobs.

Only you know what you want to do as a career. So in that career, what would make it the perfect place to work?

But you have to be realistic if you get asked this during an interview. Saying things like "free food, free car, triple pay, multiple vacations"... nobody is going to give you that. What conditions would be perfect to you?

What is your reason for seeking a new position?

This question looks very simple but it's not that easy to answer it. What ever may be the reason always be truthful. Never bad-mouth your previous company, superiors and co-workers because it will definitely sound negative on your part. If you do so, the interviewer may think you may talk bad about his company the next time you're looking for another job.

Also never speak a lie if you were fired. A background check will easily reveal everything. Try to deflect the reason from you personally. If your firing was the result of a takeover, merger, division wide layoff, etc. tell them you were fired not for your mistakes or non performance but for the above reasons. If you were fired for not adhering to a company policy, tell the interviewer that you were asked to leave for violating a company policy which you felt was not communicated to you properly. Saying the truth will never let you down but will create a good impression on the interviewer.

There are many wrong answers to this question such as:

- I hate my job, my company and my boss.

- I'm sick of working there.

- I need more money.

- My co-workers never supported me and were jealous for my work.

- I was working with a small company and now looking forward to work with a bigger one.

- My company makes me work for more additional hours and was paying on a low scale.

At the end of the day, it's highly recommended to give a good answer that leaves a positive impression while displaying good traits.

Some good answers are as follows:

1) I was looking for a position like this which is an excellent match for my skills and experience and I am not able to fully utilize them in my present job as there is very limited scope of growth. I am interested in a new challenge and an opportunity to use my technical skills and experience in a different capacity than I have in the past.

2) The company where I was working is a very large company and hence it's difficult to do and learn different tasks. We had routine work that never changed. So I am looking for a work in an environment where I can utilize more of my skills.
