You must convet the video to MPEG. And then go to the main menu on the Kenwood and select USB then click on the video. It will start with only audio. And you must press the little square box on the top left of the screen. I think that box is for a picture or something. Then video will display.

You have to get a release from the police dept. before you drive the car. It is usually about $15.

To set the date, the receiver must be in the "Standby" mode. Sources -> Standby Then the date menu item will appear in the setup menu.

The red wire is normally power and the black ground, the speakers are something you can work out by sound or looking at the speakers they are connected to.

The kenwood will come with a harness that plugs in the back of the steroe, the ford harness will not fit the kenwood so you will have to cut the ford harness (not to short from the plug) and then solder the kenwood harness on to it.

-red is 12 volt or constant power

-yellow is ignition power

-black is always ground

-if there is a blue usually that's the remote and the other colors are depending on what car you have because the speaker wire colors vary from car to car

It will scan across the screen on the preview channel and it is also printed on the box. Just to let you know, it doesnt come equiped with sirius, it is "sirius ready". You need to buy a sirius universal tuner box and kenwood adapter for sirius. This will run you around $100. Being sirius ready just means it has the connection for the tuner, not that its built in.

The wiring harness can be purchased from partsstore.com or a Kenwood Parts Distributor (1-800-421-5080) for $19.62. If you're missing the wired remote you're in more expensive trouble. It cost around $94.16 to replace and in my opinion is way too expensive to replace when a complete subwoofer with accessories can be ordered for less off of ebay. Good Luck!
