I can't say what it would cost at a garage but I just ordered the parts and did one myself and it cost me about $200 for the parts.

3 Ignition Coils $91.40

3 Plug Wires $31.40

6 Double Platinum Plugs: $22.61

5qt 10W-40 Oil: $18.61

Oil Filter: $6.21

Air Filter: $12.61

Total for the parts plus shipping (I ordered the ignition parts as they were far cheaper online): $196.52

I am no mechanic and it took me about 3 hours to do the tune up mostly being that you have to dismantle half of the components around the top of the engine to get the covers over the plugs off to get access. The only tools I used were a metric socket set, plug socket, and oil filter wrench all of which you can get for around $50....far cheaper than the labor would cost you at a garage. The only thing I found you have to be very careful of is the brittle plastic plugs and wire sheilding on all of the electrical components as they will crack and break very easily after near 10 years on the road.

I have an '03 Kia Sorento. When my (center) dome light over the middle seat quit working, it was a diode in the system; replaced under warranty, now out again!! It now works when the key is on, and you turn it on from the dash dimmer switch, but not when you open the door; only the far back one comes on. The front map lights DO NOT come on with the door open.

maybe you need your computer reflashed. It worked for me.

The 2015 Kia Sorento's engine produces 191 hp @ 6300 rpm.

On my Sorento LX, it is above the metal protector plate that has to be dropped down to get to the oil plug. You can drain the oil without removing it, but a small funnel must be fitted into one of the holes of the protector plate so that the oil can be collected without coating the plate with dirty oil.

The answer to your windshield wipers making a banging noise could be a number of different reasons. It could be because they need to be replaced or it's something off track. The best way to find out the answer is either take your car to a mechanic or you could by new wiper blades and see if that works.

One is under the hood to your right side beneath a black case I beleive, and the other is in the car, near the drivers left leg on the wall.

Hey Roseanne==First, jack up the wheel then remove wheel, then the caliper. Then remove the dust cap over the spindle nut. Then remove the spindle nut and pull the fub and rotor off of the spindle. If the races thst are in the hub are scored remove them with a punch and install new ones. Then replace the inner bearing and NEW seal and put on the car and replace the outter bearing and spindle nut. Torque the nut to seat the bearing then back it off until there is slight play in the bearing. Pack the bearings before you install them and don't put excess grease in between the bearings or in the dust cap. GoodluckJoe

The 2004 Sorrento has a major problem blowing out taillights and headlights. The dealer said they found no problem but I have never had to change so many bulbs. The only thing I can guess is there is a grounding issue some where and techs now a days are just parts re placers and do not know how to trace problems.

To program the key fobs for the Kia Sorento, one must connect terminal 6 of the diagnostics board with the battery using the wires from jumper cables. One must then put the key into the ignition and put it in the "On" position. Be careful not to actually start the car. While the car is on, hold the "Lock" button on the fob down for a few seconds to program.

I have a 2003 Sorento LX. I presume you're asking about the dinging (bell) sound that tells you the door is not fully closed. If that is what you are referring to then the cause and the solution are quite simple. It is due to the doorswitch not being adequately depressed when the door is closed. I hae take my Kia to the shop on 3 occasions to have this resolved and the propblem always comes back. The way the dealer fixes it is by trying to raise the pressure switch housing in the car body so that the door depresses it completely when closed. Invariably the switch housing returns to its former lower position and the door is no longer able to fully close the switch - the bell/dinging resumes. I have found that putting 3-4 layers of duct tape on the door side where it makes contact with the switch fixes the problem. Alternately, using a plastic washer or disk that is 3/32"-1/8" thick and gluing it to the door (where it contacts the switch) also works. Use an epoxy or a good contact cement or glue. This provides for a more elegant solution than the duct tape but basically does the trick. I hope I understood your problem correctly and good luck. Gerry S.

I just did this on my 03 sedona. If you are the original owner, they are covered under powertrain warranty.If you are not,the whole steering knuckle must come off and bearings will have to be pressed out and back in.

If they are the same as the 55plate you just undo the two Philips screws on the ear lamp assembly then tap the whole unit away from the boot lid.Should be problem solved.
