Lacrosse (in P&R teams) is usually played in the spring. That is the standard Lacrosse season. Some Travel teams play summer through fall, and in the winter there are sometimes indoor seasons

I dont think there is a rule to how close you have to be to take a shot. Depending on your skill as a shooter, you can shoot from wherever is most comfortable for you. I suggest anywhere from the 12 meter and closer for an intermediate player.

Yes, the sport of lacrosse has two different kinds of midfielders, otherwise known as: "Middies". There are Defensive 'middies' who stay on their side of the field, and they play on both sides of the field, but mainly on their side. The second kind is the Offensive Middie. Their job is to assist the Attack (main offensive players in lacrosse) in landing the ball into the opposing team's goal.

11 girls play on the field at one time. the goalie, the center (which is the strongest player on the field) 3 defenders, 3 offenders, 3 midis/back defenders. normally there are about 18-20 on a team. college about 25 and pro it depends.

the field looks like a soccer field. its divided into 3 sections with a circle in the middle and a goal at the end of the 2 outer sections. the circle is where the ball is drawn. the two lines that help make up the middle section is the restraining line for the girls or boys who position in defense and attack. the can only pass the line if another player who can move anywhere swithches position with a defender of attacker. the people who can move anywhere stand on the circle. there a 5 hash marks on the 8 meter arc (8 meters from the goal) this is where you stand for a free shot when you get pentalized. there is also a 12 meter arc.

The stats are kept in a stat book during the game for high school and younger, however if you look at a college team they may have someone watch the video of the game for them and keep track of the stats that way.

Lacrosse was originally a native american sport that the settlers of North America picked up and it morphed into the modern day sport. It was originally played by the Iroquois tribe and was called lacrosse by a French man who first called it the sticking French which is lacrosse.

Lacrosse was first played thousands of years ago by American Indians playing with rocks and skulls. It was adapted by the French in the 1600's.

Of course you can but it depends on the shaft type if it'll stick or not. If it's a plexi-glass harrow stick then yes it will but if it's a metal warrior stick then It might get washed away next time it rains, so pick your paints carefully to select a few that are water-proof. Also, why not just get a colored shaft?

My guess is about 1/2 of Canadian girls play hockey.

its pretty simple. I start with the side walls first and do those as usual except start with the top diamond on each side. This will give you about an inch gap and you can do the iriquois top string.

In lacrosse's current form, men's lacrosse is played on a field of grass or artificial turf (such as Field Turf). Each team is composed of 10 players on the field at a time: three attack men, three midfielders, three defenders and one goaltender. In men's lacrosse, players wear protective equipment on their heads, shoulders, arms, and hands, as body checking is an integral part of the game, and stick checks to the arms and hands are considered legal. Now, that is a big difference from how the Native Americans played lacrosse. As you can see, lacrosse has slowly developed into more of an advanced form of lacrosse. Since lacrosse's debut in the Native American age, lacrosse has changed in a lot of ways. including the sticks, the amount of players that are allowed on the field, the size of the lacrosse field, the ball that they use to play, the goals, the positions, etc.

Pretty much everything has changed since. The game has always required tremendous athletic skill. In early games, just running up and down the field was a great feat. Goals could be as far as 500 yards to half a mile apart and no sidelines limited the playing area. Games lasted two to three days with "time outs" between sundown and sunup. Compared today there are four quarters in very game, and each quarter is 15 minutes long. The only real main part of the game that remained the same was the concept of the game of lacrosse, to have fun, and to knock people out.
