You will have to attend University for four years. Then you are an intern at a law firm for a year. Then you wait another year to see if you are admitted from the bar exam. The law firm you work for is not required to keep you.

If you don't have those kind of numbers you'll have very little chance of getting in (provided you don't have fantastic 'soft' factors (including, but not limited to, URM status)). With numbers hovering around the medians you'd be wise to work very hard on your personal statement. Something will have to separate you from everyone else "in the middle." If numbers or life history don't do that, you'd better make up for it with how well you can make yourself 'seem' interesting.

But depending on what type of law you wish to practice, certain majors can be very helpful. For example, if you want to practice intellectual property law (especially patents), a background in science or engineering is very important. If you want to do tax or finance law, being an accountant before going to law school could help quite a bit. These are just a couple of examples, there are many more.

Well if you want to be lawyer and own your own law firm, its percise that you major in business management and pre- law. You don't have to take my advice in majoring in these courses. Im just telling you what my teacher told me!
