A documented 5 yr history of being obese. 2. Psychiatric evaluation MMPI- III. Doctors documented attempts at weight loss for 12 out of the last 18 months. 3. Must be between 16-60 yrs. of age. 4. Must be free of endocrine disease supported by a work up of T3, T4, blood sugar and a 17- keto steroid or plasma cortisol. After accomplishing all of this a second time I recently learned that along with a doctors documented weight loss of 12 months YOU DO NOT QUALIFY UNLESS "WEEKLY" WEIGH INS ARE AVAILABLE FOR 52 WEEKS!!!! It is not enough that I have taken 40,000 insulin shots to date and am currently on the pump, or that I have extreme hypertension, or that all of paternal family is obese, have heart disease and die before age 40.....I have to wait another year to have "WEEKLY" weigh ins. I have been on a diet since age 12!!!!! This is crazy!!!! I have monthly weigh ins but apparently it's not revealing enough.
