The closest OS X has to a root account is the adminstration account. When you want to install or remove any program on the hard disk you will need that login and password. The person who set up the computer has that information. But you has to give it every time

If you have a username and password and want to set up a new account then you have to give the administrator passward and can do it. So you can have administrative privileges in one window, set up the other account, and when this is done, so is the privilege.

It is not enough to make a user with UID with value 1.

if you have administrative privileges you can start a "Root" terminal to run installation scripts. Otherwise, if you have the Administrator password, you can use the "sudo" command in front of the script (just as for Linux) and get the installation done.

Apple wanted to be the software, and hardware company. That way Mac OS X is built for the Mac computers.

Morrowind is only available for computers running Microsoft's Windows operating system and their Xbox 360. It is not compatible with the G4 iMac running Mac OS X.

League of Legends is Windows only unfortunately. You can run programs such as bootcamp to get windows on mac though.

I don't think you can do that because there may well be a conflict in running the OS at startup. The computer will be confused as to which HDD to run off. But there is another way where you can install two OS on the one HDD on the same computer. Type in the search box of XP Help and Support window; dual systems and select 'Installing more than one operating system on your computer' and follow the instructions. At bootup, after successfull nstallation you'll be asked which OS to startup. Warning: have a backup when proceeding with new installations, just in case.

Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) only works with Macs that have an Intel processor and will not work on earlier Macs with G4 or G5 processors. Once a suitable copy of Snow Leopard has been purchased it is installed by inserting the disc and initiating the installation process.

Nevermind, I apparently forgot that on the Mac, things are under Firefox-Preferences. I still can't get ESPN Insider's "Rumor Central" to load without getting an error message about cookies. Maybe there's a temporary problem with ESPN's site. I have VirusBarrier X5 and just ran a scan - no problems. Also, I'm not even aware if there are any active viruses out there that can affect Mac OS X Leopard.

PSPs which are able to run homebrew could use a port of "BOCHS" to run basic operating systems on them. However a PSP is far too slow to run any operating systems at useable speeds. PS2s can run linux, if you buy one of the old kits and a USB keyboard, but again it would be slow. PS3s could do this much faster, a Google for "linux on PS3" would help you.

You must have a time clock on the system. It the Jacuzzi --SPA -- a portable unit? There is a control box under the surround or skirt. There are fasteners or screws at certain points that need to be undone to access the equipment. There will be a clock face - a round looking object with numbers on it and usually from two to four colored "stopper" & 'starter" pegs. The green or sometimes black ones are the "start " pegs. The black ones are the "stop" pegs. You may also need to re-adjust the time -- here there is an arrow indicating the correct time of day. Ever hear the saying "there are three types of lies; Lies, damn lies, and statistics"? That is especially true when attempting to measure operating system market share. Due to a lack of any reliable method of tracking usage, it is impossible to know what percentage of people use what operating system.

Windows has the highest market share of any desktop operating system. The number is difficult to measure because the only way to measure it is through computers bundled with it. This does not take into account that a user may purchase a system with Windows and then install an alternative operating system instead. It can also be affected in the other direction by piracy of Windows. Estimates for the percentage of Windows users range from 80 to 90 percent of the total market share.

Mac OS X is probably a little easier to measure, though still uncertain. This is because a user could theoretically install Windows, Linux, or some other operating system on newer Intel Macs, thus making the market share of Mac hardware irrelevant. A new trend is also emerging of "Hackintoshes", or Mac OS X modified to work on standard PCs. Estimates of Mac OS X market share range from 6 to 10 percent.

Linux and most other operating systems are the most difficult to measure because usage is not typically driven by hardware sales. Most users have already purchased a computer with another operating system and installed their choice over it. Most Linux distributions also do not require any registration or membership. Downloads also cannot be used as an indicator, since a user could decide to download Linux and then not use it, or download several Linux distros. Estimates for Linux market share range from less than 1 percent to 5 percent.

also to be extra secure restart your computer while holding down alt/option then selct recovery wait for it to start up and then select utilities and then firmware password. also encrypt usb sticks by right clicking on the drive and then select encrypt
