NEVER torque the oil plug!! just snug it up with 10 lbs of pressure. take it from experience, its happened to me, i had to replace the oil pan.

The 2004 Mazda3 does not have an outdoor temperature thermostat. This feature was added when the car was mildly updated in 2006.

Cell Phones can hold lines, but you need three people to call you, and you can switch between them.

This is how to program a Mazda protege keyless (also works with other Mazda models) remote system:

1. Open Drivers door and leave open.

2. Lock and unlock the drivers door using the power lock switch on door panel.

(not sure if this is required)

3. Insert key into the ignition.

4. Turn key to the ON and OFF position 3 times in 10 seconds. Leave key in ignition. ( i have seen others say 24 seconds for 4 & 5 combined)

5. Open and close drivers door 3 times ending with door in the open position.

(you can depress the door switch instead)

6. Door locks should respond by locking and unlocking.

7. Press any button on remote 2 times. Doors should lock and unlock.

8. If programming a second remote press any button 2 times on it and door locks should cycle again.

9. Remove key from ignition and door locks will cycle again.

10. Test remotes.

the horn relay is in the fuse box under the hood (just south east of the battery) the horn relay is the top right block. underneath the fuse box hood there is a chart labeling everything for you

The Mazda 3 has a very difficult process to go through for the removal and replace of the blower motor and fan resistor. The fan is actually removed from the passanger side however you need to remove the glove box and recirculation box. The hard part is on the driver side is where the motor actually connects to remove from this side you need to remove the gas pedal, brake pedal and steering column just to gain access to the back of the motor. The driver side is also where the fan resistor is located.

It's located in a small recess left of the steering colomn on the lower side of the dash.

Usually to remove the front bumper grill you would just locate the screws or bolts holding the part in place and then remove them. The grill should be able to be removed after that.

it is one of the accessories driven by the engine crankshaft --the alternator, the A/c compressor, the power steering pump and the hardest one to get to is the water pump. on my 626 it is on the same belt as the alternator.

I had this problem a year ago, after I moved the passenger seat back fully.
After a few days of the airbag light staying on, I thought to check the wiring under the seat, gave it a wiggle on the connector, and no more problems! The model is a Mazda 3 2.0L sport '54' reg.

the dealer could do it, bet my bottom dollar they wont though.
