On a Suburban look under the right rear. Next to where the a/c and heater hoses for the rear a/c and heater enter the car there is a rubber nipple sticking straight down. Squeeze the tip to open it. It's rubber and seems to stick closed fairly often.

depends on how bad your meaning of bad is, if it's not pumping any gas at all then no because it is a fuel injected type engine but if you get a weak stream of gas from it check you filter too, you might be able to run it for short periods of time but i wouldn't suggest it because you may burn out your starter if it's not getting enough gas to turn over. cost for new part from auto zone $192.99 and the warranty (1yr) is only good if you replace strainer at the same time $16.99 (1yr warranty) as well as dropping the tank and cleaning it, kinda steep considering what it is and once you get to that point you may as well grab a new filter while your at it $24.99 (no warranty), i had trouble with my filter witch i thought was the pump at first, it's kinda a pain to get out. for more troubleshooting and repair info check out a haynes guide, will tell you everything from breaks to spark plugs, they usually have them at most part stores between $25-75 but well worth it if you plan to do the work yourself compared to the hourly labor at a shop

This is a very tedious job. The entire front of the engine basically has to be dis-assembled, this includes removing the timing belt and tensioner. Then you will see the bolts that hold the water pump in place.

yes they do.i put 22''s on my Mazda millenia with pirelli tires and it rides great and doesnt knock my rear fenders but i put swaybars and new brakes and shocks that are ajustable

Clean the throttle body and the two ports at the bottom. There are 2 ports that allows exhaust gases to recycle to the intake manifold. These often get clogged and cause a p0400 code. It it does not work try cleaning the egr valve and connecting pipes. They may be clogged also.

You've got to drop the tank and replace the float that's the part that tells the light when its full or empty....if that doesn't work then replace the gauge sending unit...if that isn't it then check if the light is what is bad replace the light...if that doesn't work then i don't know !!!

its the boost sinser if the volteg on ur tack is low battery volt thats ur problum if not then the boost sincer bad

what model/year mazda, what engine? maybe this is covered by a recall if it is a new car? it could be lots of things- low fuel in tank causing gaps in between fuel delievery to engine. could be caused when you turn hard, & all the gas sloshes to one side of the tank, opposite of the fuel pump. could be your spark plugs need to be changed, as they are missing at higher rpm... basically anything but there is no way anyone in the world would know with a question as vague as you just asked.

A broken Timing Belt would do it. Also the engine electronics are very sensitive, so a SINGLE electrical wire to a critical component would also leave it unable to start - but the battery will still crank it over.

The water pump has one main seal, when the pump starts going bad the seal leaks and there is a slim line of coolant that flows downward due to gravity. If you suspect the pump find this line of coolant. When you see drops of antifreeze pooling underneath the car that is the first sign (do not confuse this with the normal water from the condenser(when you run the A/C) which is clear). Next you have to determine from where - easy to say, hard to do in practice. As soon as the coolant drops below a certain level the car will overheat and leak from everywhere. When coolant from the water pump leaks it will evaporate and leave a telltale residue that is easy to see with an experienced eye. This line of residue flowing downward from the main water pump bearing is the key. After the leak develops it will get worse till the bearing lubricant is washed out as well and then the bearing will seize. Once the pump seizes the belt driving the pump will break and you will be stuck.

The thermostat is located between the air filter and the intake manifold below the air intake 'hose'. The thermostatat housing is the metal 'unit' with a hose from the bottom of the radiator and a hose from the water pump. (Note: a pipe runs from the water pump, over the top of the engine to the thermostat housing...it's kind of hard to locate). To replace, remove the air intake 'hose', disconnect the wiring harness (there are about 5 connectors), remove the two bolts holding the two parts of the thermostat housing together. Finally, remove the bolt connecting the thermostat housing bracket to the engine.
