I went to a garage to get my plugs replaced, and they said that it is very difficult and wanted to charge me $300.00 Dollars. All I ended up doing was removing that top Pillum. Now this is tricky because you cant reach the bolt on the drivers side to remove it, unless you take the air conditing stuff off. But i welded a bolt to my wrench and was able to get the bolt off. AnswerRotating the engine, as someone originally had here, is NOT very easy with this engine. I actually broke my breaker bar trying due to the bolts on the front mount being rusted... (Copypasta from where I just answered this question elsewhere). There's also no need to remove the 'air conditioning stuff'. A flexible extension for your ratchet set (the u adapter mentioned below) did it beautifully.You have to remove the intake plenum. This is a pain, but something I've got down to an art after all these repairs, it seems...
First, remove the bolts on the left and front of your coil packs, on the left side of the engine (facing it from the front bumper). Wiggle it free, and there will be one/two bolts holding on the intake plenum. Remove them, then over to the right side.
There are three screws holding on the throttle body adapter. Two are easy to see and get to, relatively. The third is under it, and usually requires a u adapter and deep socket to get it out. Now remove the seven bolts (and disconnect the fuel rail from the front), and it should just pop free. Take care not to lose your PCV valve in the back...and make note of where it goes back in. Now you can get to your back three plugs.
You might want to swing by O'Reilly's and get the 'throttle body adapter gasket' and the intake plenum gasket beforehand. The Throttle Body Adapter Gasket tends to shred if you don't put the plenum back in just right. It -is- outright easier to remove the throttle body...but that takes quite a bit longer.

I'm expirencing the same problem on my 1997 gmc jimmy. I've opted to remove the seat and take a closer look, theres just not anyway to see the problem clearly looking at it upside down and sideways. Mine will move on the right side but seems to be stuck on the left side,so when i try to move the seat forwrd or backwards all i do is go sideways. so my guess would be to remove the seat( and im hoping this isn't an all day project) and see what i can do with it.

The airbag is located inside the black cover in the center of the steering wheel. Same piece you hit to sound the horn and it sperates from the steering wheel. Once that piece is off, Im not sure how to take the airbag out, as I only replaced my steering wheel. But, to get this piece off, there are two bolts on the backside of the steering wheel. Pop the hole covers off with a flathead screwdriver and remove bolts. Disconnect the wiring harnessess and the center piece is out. I hope this helps or, at the very least, gives you a place to start.
