After a D&C (dilation and curettage) at 11 weeks of pregnancy, hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) levels can take several days to weeks to return to baseline. I think you had a nuchal scan, done at around 12 weeks. This measures the fluid at the back of the neck and MAY, only MAY be an indication of Down's syndrome. You will probably be offered an amniocentesis which will give a diagnosis. A friend of mine had twins, both of whom had positive signs. She had a double amnio, both of which were negative and her babies are fine, (now about 1 year old)

I wanted to add to this- I believe i had one, and they only reason i believe this was because i would gush blood then it would stop, and at the very beginning of my period i passed a 3 inch blood clot. and when i would bleed it would be very short bleeding followed by a few hours of not bleeding. The blood was also Bright Red at first, then tapered off to brown.

Sounds like someone is feeding you an old wives tale. It wouldn't be healthy for you to attempt it. It could cause you permanent damage to kidneys and liver.

I was 8 1/2 weeks pregnant when I miscarried. I had no pain only brown discharge. Go see you doctor or go to the nearest hospital. You might be. Go to the doctor now!

Swollen, tender breasts can be the first sign of pregnancy. It was for me, but I just though it was a little worse than usual and I was getting my period lol.

are you try to get rid of the baby? just go to a planned parenthood, its much more safer that way. becareful, if you are using over the counter drugs in an attempt to get rid of the baby and you are unsucessful, then you could end up with a child that has mental and physical defects. be responsible and go to a clinic.

Your breasts are lactating. (producing milk). If you find that you're experiencing discomfort consult with your health-care provider who can prescribe something to help dry up the milk.

As we do not have sufficient medical history regarding term, date of miscarriage in relation to the time you're asking this question, etc., it is advisable that you practice birth control now. If you were not receiving antenatal care, it may also be advisable to have a pelvic exam and blood-work to ensure all possibilities are covered in relation to the miscarriage.

Unfortunatley a non-viable pregnancy is a pregnancy that has occurred but for some medical reason will not last or carry to term... Such pregnancies could be that the embnryo implanted elsewhere than in the uterus and such... Sometimes it happens so soon in the pregnancy the woman doesn't even know she is pregnant... And know most pregnancies only spontaneously abort (or miscarry) because of a good medical reason...

This is the term used to describe a pregnancy that is destined to end in miscarriage. It can be used to describe a chemical pregnancy, or blighted ovum. It can also be used to describe pregnancy in which fetal demise has already occured. If this is happening to you, I am so terribly sorry. It means you need to get to the hospital A.S.A.P. for your babies safety and yours. Nobody can say whether you did or didn't but that's not normal.

If you heard a pop of any kind I would go to the emergency room immediately, but if it is just sore and you can move it, you should be fine. Just apply ice packs for pain and swelling.

At one month the embryo is already attached to the uterus wall. Humphrey 11 does not induce abortion/miscarriage. What it does is making the cervix soft. That is how it's used to get your period back. When having a medical abortion with RU486 you first are given a pill to loosen the fetus from the uterus wall. Then the next day you get one to start the cramps so the fetus come out. So to use Humphrey it can not be used after the embryo is already attached to the wall. You can get hurt and so can the fetus be if you use it too late. And with hurting the fetus I mean causing damage without aborting. If I'm not mistaken that is illegal. Also it is a very uncertain method that can not be recommended. To get a safe abortion you need to go to a clinic and have it safely done by medical professionals.
