My manual tells me that there is no difference between the 2.4 or 3.0 which says the oil pan holds 4.2 qts.(4.0L)and the filter holds .32qts.(0.3L)

Some of eclipses share the engine with some crysler vehicles. If you have japaness car, there is no interchangeability.

You need to remove the dash panel. It will allow you to get access to many connectors and it will be easier to remove the harness.

there are only a few places you might have tranny fluid leaks the main ones would be the seals around your axles. there is also a seal on the inside of the transmission right at the base of the clutch spindle. i believe you can get a rebuild kit with the seals in it. good luck

You will need to get the serial number from the radio, which means getting to the radio. You then have to take your car to a Mit dealer and they can look it up for you. If you don't want to mess with getting to the radio yourself the dealer will do it for you for a fee. They should give you the code for free once you have the serial number off the radio. They may want to see the car to ensure it's not a stolen radio.

Start with four quarts and add oil checking every 1/2 quart or so. I believe it will be between 4 1/2 and 5 quarts.

I think v6 has 3-4 (cali vs. fed). I4 should have 2.

Once struts fail, they have to be replaced. You will need a torx socket. I do not remember the size but but guys from almost any auto store can help you to find out. Make sure that you change them both.

Make sure pump has enough fluid. Then in a slow steady fashion turn the steering wheel left to right going from steering stop to steering stop 5 or 6 times

The brake rotor thickness for your 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse, is 0.75. The rotor should not be used if the thickness is less than this.

The spark plugs on the 2001 Eclipse Gt are set up like this. The 3 front one are easy to locate and change. You remove the 3 spark plug wire directly in front of you out of the valve cover (I suggest doing it one by one). You'll notice that the spark plug wire exstends down in to the valve cover 3 to 4 inches, so 3 to 4 inches down inside you valve cover is your 3 front spark plugs screwed in to you engines heads. The rear 2 are alot more tricky to locate and replace, your looking at around a 2 hour job, if you've done it before. To locate the other 3 rear spark plugs, you have to remove your intake manifold. This requires you to remove your air intake system, and various other wires and tubing. Once you have removed all of that you'll notice basically the same set up as the front 3 spark plugs. The one thing I am not for sure is if there were any gaskets to be changed for the intake manifold once it was removed. The gaskets should be changed since the would break or will be about to break. From what i read, the bank one sensor is on the driver's side of the exhaust manifold. Bank one refers to the first cylinder.

yup but depending on what car your putting it in youll have to switch a few things out like water pump, its actually very popular with stock 1st gen valves and stock 2nd gen pistons the engine can handle 500hp and plus the 2nd gen block has a week 7 bolt crank the 2nd gen 6 bolt is way better, this way you get no crank walk!

The gasket itself is about $100 bucks, but all the work that goes into removing parts to get to the head gasket to remove & replace it, and then put it back together is what runs you into the $1,000's if you take it to a dealer or mechanic.

You have problems with your air bag system. Try to find a local Mitsubishi Dealer or Autozone garage. They can read out the error message and tell you more.
