mitsubishi lancers have numerous engine sizes depending on the engine model. Usually starts from 1.3L to 2.0L

It's hard coded into the module(s). It cannot be disabled without major modifications to the car.

The brake lights on the Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback (wagon) are a single assembly and you will have to remove this entire assembly to change bulbs for the rear brake lights and tail lights.

1. First, open the rear hatch. Examine the side where the light is out. You'll see the molding for the lights is secured to the back hatch chasis by four large Phillips head screws. Remove these four screws.

2.Now, the tail light is held in place by two pincher-like clamps at the bottom and top of the rear light assembly. The easiest way to remove them is by wedging your hand underneath the bottom section of the assembly and pulling slightly toward you. Don't apply too much pressure it could crack. If wiggle as you pull you can feel it give.

3. Once you've remove the assembly you'll see several wired ports that correspond to the location of the brake lights. Simply turn the port counter-clockwise and the socket should easily pop out of the port opening. Pull the light out of the socket, it should slide right out.

4.The bulb will usually have a black darkened discoloration take the bulb with you to the auto parts store and have them give you the exact bulb type. Don't try and size it yourself. There are some that look very similar.

Advice:

a.Replace the bulb at the auto parts store that way if it doesn't fit you can go back.

b.test the bulb by turning on the lights to ensure you installed it correctly.

c.The light slides into a slotted housing, you have to push it in firmly or it won't work.

Depends on what type of Mazda the wheels came from. For example, the 2004 Mazda 3 uses a 5x114 bolt pattern which is the same as the 2008 Lancer. But the 2004 Mazda Miata uses a 4x100 bolt pattern which would not work on your Lancer.

front wheel drive?? Remove the center axel nut at the brake rotor lift the car, remove the tire, and separate the spindle from the ball joint pull the spindle assembly out of the way sliding the outer end of the driveshaft out of the hub pry the old driveshaft out of the trany replace the driveshaft seal in the trany to be safe so you dont have later leaks slide new shaft into trany carefully so you dont damage the seal and reverse above instructions to reinstall. Make sure you support the car properly so it doesnt squish you when your working on it!!

First stage.......................49Nm

Second stage................Loosen

Third stage......................20Nm

Fourth stage...............Turn 90`

Fifth stage...................Turn 90`

Tensioned a few cylinder heads over the years, that's the strangest tensioning sequence I've ever seen, but that's what the book says!

Disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the ashtray, grasp the center instrument panel bezel securely and pull it out, then unscrew the lower center module from the instrument panel. The two radio mounting screws will be readily apparent for you to unscrew. Pull the radio out and unscrew the negative strap from the back of the radio and remove the connectors and antenna lead. Installation is the reverse of removal.
