Most of the front wheel drive vehicles have sealed wheel bearings. Therfore, they can not be adjusted nor can they be lubercated. If there is too much end-play from the bearings, the only solution is to replace the unit. Replaceing the unit consist of remove the hub and having the bearing pressed out. Replacement is in the reverse order of removal.

If you have one, you'll find it under the hood, on the battery side, just behind the headlight. Look for a black, flat cord with a cap on the end. Remove the cap by gently twisting and then you'll see the three-pronged connector. Plug it in!

The crankshaft is located behind the crank gear close to the timing zone. If you decide to change your crankshaft make sure you also examine your timing belt as well as water pump.

no problem in using synthetic oils as lubricant for this model.. but i myself use virgin oil. for me it is better for older car models.. i dont think there is a problem doing so - synthetic oil is just a lubricant like standard oil. I believe it is undesirable to mix it with standard though so you would want to change and flush the old oil type before using synthetic. it is also questionable if the benefit would make the additional cost worthwhile - I would doubt it.

OXYGEN SENSORS ARE DETECTING WHAT IS LEFT AFTER IN THE EXHAUST. I DON'T PERSONALY KNOW YOUR CAR BUT YOU SHOULD LOOK ON THE EXHAUST AFTER THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CLOSE T0 THE FIREWALL. IT WONT BE WAY DOWN THE EXHAUST PIPE BUT SHOULD BE ACCESSABLE FROM UNDER THE CAR. NOTE YOU SHOULD SEE ONE WIRE THAT IS GOING TO IT.

There are 2 sensors one right in the engine compartment on the exhaust anifold(this is a one piece exhaust manifold/Catalyic converter) there is another under the car on the top of the exhaust pipe (facing the seats) right after the engine.

the one in the engine compartment has a clip connector so just remove that and get a special oxygen sensor socket tool, the one on the underside of the car has the wiring going into the car, if its a universal sensor you prob have to cut the wires and follow instructions on correct wiring color codes, but if you have the one piece with the clip you need to take out the seat inside the car and unplug the sensor and drop through the opening which has a rubber seal, then use an open end wrench to take off the sensor, its a little tricky if you dont have high lifts or any lifts.

Both engines comes from the same maker, but 4G15 has 1.5L displacement, and 4G18 has 1.6L displacement. That makes that cilynder bores are different, so Pistons are different too. I think that interchange block is difficult, you have to make several other changes.
