Are there any common faults with the 2001 Kawasaki KX 85 As mine just stopped working for no reason?
A bike doesn't stop running for no reason. The KX 85 is a good bike. First check to see if you have good compression. If you have decent compression, an engine has to have 3 things to run, gas, fire and air. Check to make sure your carb is getting fuel. Then check to make sure you have fire at your spark plug.
What is the meaning of 150 cc?
cc means cubic centimeters. It refers to the displacement of the cylinder that is caused by the combustion of the fuel. Impossible to answer w/o seeing it. Might be as simple as to tighten a grub screw or a clamp, depending on assembly.
Do you always need to hold the clutch in when chaning gear?
Some people "power shift" but I don't trust it. I always pull in the clutch when shifting just to be safe.

a 230 might be a good bike to start with i ride a 250 and im 6 foot and 160 pounds so yeah somthing small might be good to start with or a 125 might be good and the brand of the bike will also matter on size so yeah and get a four stroke its easier to maintain
