My Suzuki has been clocked on the long straight stretch at over 75 miles an hour geared with 13/52's, quite a few engine mods and 107 octane "Nascar-approved" race fuel. I love the Raptor. In short this thing is Scary-Fast and will keep right with my 'Zilla' in almost all conditions including top speed and trail riding as well as the track, I think the only place the 'Zilla' would be the hands down winner is in the short course sand drag or grass drag.

How do you jump dirt bikes correctly?
you should have a race bike to jump high. to jump correctly you have to be in the attack position before you jump. the attack position is where you stand up on the bike, knees slightly bent, standing with your butt twards the back of the bike, elbows bent and looking always in front of you. never at the ground. when you are coming twards the jump give it a handful of gas ( still in the attack position until you land) when your in the air grip the bike with your knees to avoid wiping out. when you land make sure your standing and land with a bit of gas to even the bike out.

How to clean an ATV drive chain?
Some and /or most chains have sealed bearings, therefore, powerwash them and then spray on a good chain lube, lift the rear axel off the ground and spin the rear tires while you spray the chain with lube,don't be stingy with the lube. Or put the chain in a parts washer for a day or two and hand dry, then give it a really good coating of chain WAX, apply it the same way as above.
Where do you locate hours on Yamaha 350 raptor?
I'm not an ATV rider, but as far as I know the 350 Raptor does not come with an hour meter on it. You have to put one on from aftermarket products.

Generally there is a fuel line, an overflow line, the air boot (from the filter) and one other thing I can't remember. A manual would be very helpful here :)

Depends on the kids experience with bikes. And I assume your talking a dirt bike. If he has no experience I would say a 100-125cc 4 stroke. Personally I would get a 4 stroke bike such as the newer Honda models.
