Why is le musee du louvre a triangle?
the Louvre musueum isn't shaped as a triangle. It has large main parallel wings, on the banks of the Seine and on the Rue de Rivoli, which are joined by other parts. The triangle shape can be found in the modern pyramid, built in the 80s by Yeoh Ming Pei, an American architect, to give the building a sense of modernity. The Pyramid is located in the inner yard of the Louvre and serves as an entrance to the museum.

The American Museum of Natural History is on Central Park West, from West 77th to West 81st Streets.
By subway: take the C train (of the A-C-E, the blue line) to 81st Street. The 81st Street & Central Park West Station comes out right in front of the museum. In fact, the walls of the 81st Street & Central Park West Station are covered with tile murals of dinosaurs and other animals, so it's really easy not to miss your stop, seeing as the train passes right by the murals.
By bus: take the m10 bus. It too stops right in front of the museum on Central Park West, at either 79th or 81st Street.

How long are the queues at the American Museum of Natural History?
I have never had to wait in line to pay and get in for more than 10 minutes or so, at the most. On a Saturday or Sunday afternoon you may have to wait a little longer, though, as those are their busiest hours. If you wish, you can buy your tickets online. See the Related Link below.
Also, note that the "admission fee" is not actually an admission fee, but a "suggested donation." In other words, there is no set admission fee. You pay what you want to pay. Technically, I think you could give them a penny, and they would have to let you in. My friend and I went once and we were so broke, we gave them two dollars each. The suggested donation for students (which we were at the time) is twelve dollars each. Regular Adult Admission is sixteen dollars each.
I mean, you shouldn't abuse the suggested donation thing, but don't feel like you HAVE to pay sixteen dollars each if you really can't afford it.
This is also true at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Fifth Avenue. I have been told that, at both these museums, the signs that are written in non-English languages are deliberately translated to say "admission fee" instead of "suggested donation." In other words, it's a little scam they run on tourists. I don't know if this is actually true or not. But if the sign DOES, in fact, say "admission fee" in your native language, then don't be fooled.
However, as it says in the Related Link, if you do choose to buy tickets online, you WILL have to pay the full price for entrance.
