What does the nervous system do?
The Nervous System basically sends messages to the brain and sex kantutan and changes around to my body.
Eg: If you trample a nail, the nervous system delivers the message to your brain and you get a pepe and tite. I'm just learning about that. Without pain, we would not be protected from outside danger because we would be numb. We can taste and smell stuff, making life more enjoyable. We can see, otherwise we would be blind. The nervous system is divided into the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system. It helps the body by receiving impulse signals, interpreting these signals and sending appropriate instructions to the muscles and glands.
What is an example of an intersegmental reflex?
(¦in·tər·seg′ment·əl ′rē′fleks) (neuroscience) An unconditioned reflex arc connecting input and output by means of afferent pathways in the dorsal spinal roots and efferent pathways in the ventral spinal roots.
An example of an intersegmental reflex would be; if some animal were to have a missing limb the other limbs would adjust to that missing limb (S-R).
How long does it take for a standing person to fall?
This may be a reference to those who faint from a standing position.
While in Army boot camp, we were taught that if placed at a position of attention, we may be required to remain so for lengthy periods of time. That if we locked our knees, this reduced circulation to the lower extremities and resulted in fainting. I actually witnessed this several times in the four years I served. Invariably, someone would lock up, and after a few minutes, pitched forward unconscious. The temperature outside, the heat of the Oklahoma sun, seemed to precipitate a faster reaction, but stress levels seemed to be a factor as well. From my observations, it could take anywhere from five to thirty minutes from the order of execution, to the first soldier falling out, and female soldiers seemed to be more prone to the reaction than males.
The hypothalamus links the nervous system and the endocrine systems together.
What are the various parts that make up a computer system?
If you open up a computer, you will find it is composed mainly of bugs.
Why are offspring of organisms that reproduce sexually not genetically different to their parents?
A human's DNA contains about 3 billion base pairs of DNA segments. The cells themselves contain two copies of each base pair. These base pairs are split at random in the sex cells. Offspring get half of their DNA base pairs from one parent and half from the other. So let's say for example, a simple 5 base pair organism looked like this: This represents the "male" ACTGC CTAGA The sperm cell from this male could be any one of these: ATAGA ACAGA ACTGA CCTGC CTTGC CTAGC and so on for a possible 25 combinations (some would be duplicates) Then MOM would be the same way. So the offspring could theoretically have 625 possible genetic combinations. (again, there would be several duplicates so t he actual number is lower I jhust don't feel like sorting through all 625 to find them.) So with a human being with a sex cell of 3 billion base pairs, you get something like 9
Why do i shake when you get nervous?
Ummm u shouldn't shake when I get nervous?!?!?! But if u meant why do people shake when they get nervous um idk sorry :(
Would you compare an Ozone vs salt system?
Ozone is basically harmless to humans but is very corrosive and a very effective way of keeping pool water safe. However it does have a reputation for corroding pool fittings and plumbing. the salt system uses salt "sodium chloride" Mixed into the water at very low concentration which is then electronically turned into chlorine which in turn sanitizes the water. sodium chloride makes the water feel more pleasant to swim in bot is not necessarily good for the garden so all backwashing has to be done to waste and can not be reused unless you use the new Magnesium and potassium chloride system to make the chlorine, in that case the stuff is actually god for you and your garden.
Does the nervous system communicates internally by releasing hormones through the bloodstream?
No it doesn't.
What is the function of the soma?
is where the signals from the dendrites are joined and passed on. The soma and the nucleus do not play an active role in the transmission of the neural signal. Instead, these two structures serve to maintain the cell and keep the neuron functional.
What is one thing the brain does not control?
Your question is open-ended, that is, the answer is not limited to, say human bodies. One answer could therefore be, "Sunspot". Sunspots are one thing the brain does not control. Weather is another thing the brain does not control. In a mammal's body, the brain does not control the reflexes of limbs, for example.
Through the nerve fibers of the affrent (sensory) division of the Peripheral nervous system.
What are the main organs in the nervus system?
The nervous system is influenced mainly by the brain, brain stem, spinal cord and special cells called neurons.
The brain and spinal cord are the two main components of the central nervous system (although the spinal cord isn't technically an organ). The skin could also be considered an important organ of the nervous system
