You don't need the previous code but you do need the MASTER CODE. It should be marked down in the owner's manual. If it's not there is should be taped to the Smart Entry Controller, which is in the center console.

You will need to remove one piece of trim panel to the right side of the gas pedal. Just remove the single push nut with a pair of needle nose pliers. Pull the trim back enough so that you can see the controller. It's just a small electronics box. The master code should be taped to it.

I had to find and replace mine in a 2000 quest, hope you find this helpful. Even with the service manual I had a tough time finding it. Pictures of the short block casting helped me. It's on the drivers side, to sits above the trannie housing. To get a visual, remove the air cleaner and try to reach the ground from the newly formed opening. move towards the center line and leaning towards the firewall you will see two wires.

Now to do the work get on your back and reach up, this job is being done by touch. A simple hold down plate holds / locks it in place. Work smartly and cleanly.

Take it to a dealer, if you try to take it out without proper tools, the current cd/radio will disable itself and the radio deck may too with newer cars. Just stay on the safe side and call a dealer.

Bleeding the brakes on a '02 Quest is quite easy. Here is a quick walk-through on the job:

1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect ABS actuator and control unit connector or negative battery terminal.

2. Connect a transparent vinyl tube and container to air bleeder valve.

3. Fully depress brake pedal several times.

4. With brake pedal depressed, open air bleeder valve to release air.

5. Close air bleeder valve.

6. Release brake pedal slowly.

7. Tighten air bleeder valve to: 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm).

8. Repeat steps 2 through 7 until no more air bubbles come out of air bleeder valve.

9. Bleed the brake hydraulic system air bleeder valves in the following order:

§ Right rear brake

§ Left front brake

§ Left rear brake

§ Right front brake
