How do you reset the service light on an Opel Corsa 2005 1.6 Sport?
There's no great ''trade secret'' as to how to reset the service indicator lamp on most Vauxhall's, simply refer to pages in the Owner's Handbook! For reference of those interested in such matters, but who might not have access to an owner's manual, this is the procedure to follow: Vauxhall service reset * Turn Ignition Off * Hold Trip Reset In * Turn Ignition On Still Holding * Trip Reset wait for three dashes * Turn off Ignition * Turn on Ignition to confirm To the best of my knowledge, the above service light reset procedure applicable to most Vauxhalls HOPE THIS SAVES YOU PAYING FOR INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-)
How do you and where to check the fuel pressure?
It depends entirely on the year, make and model on how and where you can check fuel pressure. In order to officially and properly check the fuel pressure you will need a fuel pressure gauge and a set of adapters and fittings that typically come in a very expensive kit.
Most GM, Ford and Chrysler engines will have a schrader valve located on the pressure side of the fuel line, usually near the fuel rail that houses the injectors. If the fuel line has one of these valves then you can screw on a fitting that attaches to a fuel pressure gauge, crank the engine and see the fuel pressure. If the vehicle does not have one of these valves then a specific, special fitting that comes with part of the fuel pressure tester kit needs to be installed inline on the pressure side of the fuel lines.
***Practice extreme caution with this advice. Gasoline is very flammable and dangerous***
If this question is being asked because your vehicle won't start and you want to check for fuel pressure, but don't have a gauge, there are other ways. One very easy trick you can do is to remove the intake tube from the throttle body OR remove the large vacuum hose from the check valve in the brake booster. Using a small can of propane that you would find in the camping section of the hardware store, attach a fitting and hose so you can induce propane into the throttle body or vacuum hose and have an assistant crank the engine.
If you do not have propane you can CAUTIOUSLY use a small amount of non chlorinated brake cleaner in the same manner. Be very careful either way as the engine can easily backfire and cause fire and/ or personal injury.
Why might an Opel Corsa stall when idling?
You may need dealer assistance, if this is a stepper motor acting up and allowing the engine speed to fall too low.Suggest check the air filter is not blocked, you may have picked up rubbish. If ok check around the air filter for pipes adrift and around the injection unit for the same.Is the "engine electronics"warning lamp on? There may be a sensor fault or an e.g.r. valve fault upsetting the idle mixture.
i suggest cleaning the idle air control valve i had the same problem idling around 400 and cutting out on cold starts the icv is located next the the rev cable and a carb cleaner is recommended i also cleaned the throttle box and air pipes at the same time lucky for me no more idle problems previous owner over filled oil at sum point and it had got all ova the engine compartment
Depends on what you mean. If you mean "What happens when I change the thermostat setting", then the answer is that the room (or house, or apartment) gets warmer or cooler. But if you mean "What happens when I change from a mechanical to an electronic thermostat" then the answer is that it is less sensitive to position and orientation, and it may also be programmable, operated from a remote control, or even operated over the Internet.

Water leaking into the drivers side of a 02 corsa?
There is a small radiator inside between the driver and passanger sides for your heater. It is probably leaking there.
How do YOU replace timing belt on a 2005 opel corsa utility 1.4?
Timing is too sensitive, get a pro to do it for you. It takes 10 mins to do though.
Replace starter motor on a corsa 1.3 cdti?
Well mine is just about finished you will need long shaft Torx key 45 set £7. magnetic pick up tool (maplins)£3 pounds 10mm tube spanner or pipe 5" long to lever Torx spanner
REMOVE THE BATTERY TERMINAL FIRST
Jack up and put two stands firmly in place and leave the jack up on the side you are on as as a third point of support
remove the wire from the starter motor 10mm and 13mm
The starter motor is rear lower of engine it is held by two bolts one from rear which is removed from under the car and one from front top behind an oblong rubber grommet a difficult one to locate torx 45 again. use a mirror and torch to see it and dont drop it into the flywheel or its a gearbox removal, use a magnetic pick up tool to extract it once the motor is released from the bolt , bottom bolt is first out first back in.
Dont try and pull the bolt out on the Torx key you will loose it. use a tube spanner on the Torx key to get leverage to undo the bolts, they aren't very tight and finger tight once free. To remove the starter motor you will need a torx socket to undo the earth cable rear of the starter motor to allow it to slide out.
Top bolt is difficult but it will come out in time a 2nd torx 45 would be helpful with the end cut off i.e. a straight shaft for finger tight bit. i am about to try to put the top bolt back but with the risk of it falling into the fly wheel i might buy a long bolt and a big washer and bolt it bach from outside the grommet hole locating the hole with a bolt on the end of a torx key will have a 70% chance of falling into the flywheel while you decide it will start with a singlebolt
to get more room for the top bolt forget the mug who said remove the exhaust manifold he's having a laugh, definitely not, just remove the fuel filter Two wiring connectors and roll the water tank forward also i suggest a degrease in that area the day before you do it
to refit do the under side first. Solenoid is away from the engine a bit tighten the under bolt reconnect the earth then lower the car off the stands. Good luck

Do you know whats the size of an opel corsa fuel tank?
Depending on the size of the engine, I know the 1.4 is a 30 litre tank
Check that alternator is charging battery properly and change battery to see if you still getting same issues.
It can also be a leak in your car radio, burnt alternator diode, or a shorted coil in the central locking system or windows.
Where do you find the crankshaft sensor in corsa?
Look behind the driver wheel at the cranckshaft pulley. There will be a sensor there. It is the pulley with the teeth.
