I have used System Mechanic 6 when it was a newer software, I have moved on to other system maintenance software only because I enjoy trying a variety of different software. I would personally recommend System Mechanic software for any user.

While most people today would probably think MS-DOS is something really complicated and hard to use, it is based upon simple concepts, and day to day use is extremely simple, once the initial system is set up. In general I would say Windows XP, it has been the most successful so far. Vista is now probably used more and is getting better as time goes on so it won't be long before Vista tops XP.
