Could i be pregnant if i had brown spotting for one day then started a period two days later?

this i squite common when first pregnant and if you do do a test that proves that you are then you should speak to your doctor or midwife about this for them to check and make sure that everything is all ok.

Can you be pregnant if your period was 8 days late and you bleed for one day and it was heavy?

you could be, change in period could mean many things other than pregnancy like stress and worrying about pregnancy for instance, take a urine test to be sure because this could be early pregnancy bleeding but this bleeding is usually considerably different from a cycle but often mistaken for one, take a test and find out hope everthing turns out

Your period came 7 days early can you still be pregnant?

Once you have your period, take it as notice that you are not pregnant this time around. It is very rare, and not usual, for people to have periods during pregnancy. If you meant to be pregnant, that is one thing. If you did not, or are not in a stable relationship, make sure that you have the best birth control.

Is there any way your period can keep going during pregnancy?

If you know for sure that you are pregnant, it is probably not going to be your period, although some women have experienced a "first" period then learns a couple of weeks later that they really are pregnant. It is possible that it could be implantation bleeding caused by the fertilized egg to attach itself to the uterine wall. Or it could be a cervical change that can cause vaginal bleeding. Vaginal bleeding can also be a symptom of ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. Another cause for bleeding during pregnancy is a miscarriage although the first two reasons for bleeding are more common, it is still a good idea to contact your doctor as soon as you can.

Can you menstruate early in pregnancy?

It is possible, but highly unlikely. You may see spotting in early pregnancy, but that usually does not start until the day your missed period is due or thereabouts (at least that is what I have been reading).

I had a period "on time" during early pregnancy, although it only lasted for 1 day and was very light. I also didn't get symptoms right away, except for an increase in discharge. Actually, a couple of weeks after that period, I had "fertile" discharge (the kind you have during ovulation) about that time I had symptoms starting and had a positive pregnancy test. If you had a "period" a week after your suspected conception though, it was most likely implantation bleeding and not an actual period. It would have been really light, most likely.

Everyone is different. I had very heavy bleeding on the day my menstrual cycle was due with both of my pregnancies. The doctors don't seem to believe that its possible, and they considered it implantation bleeding but implantation bleeding is suppose to be much lighter. I normally have heavy periods and in all honesty when I'm pregnant it's worse. The first period is heavy soaking thru a pad every hour or two as well as passing large clots. My pregnancy tests always show up negative until I'm about 12 weeks. I don't have unprotected sex much so with my last pregnancy I was paying close attention to my body and made sure I marked everything down, thinking if I was pregnant maybe this time around I will miss a period but I was wrong. After my periods vanish that's when the pregnancy test actually shows positive but I have all the symptoms from nausea, to enlarged breast, to fatigue, it's a little weird. At one point I went to the hospital and they gave me a shot for STDs and sent me home, they didnt even bother to do an ultrasound, they figured since I was a young adult admitting to sexual activity and complaining of abdominal pain that it must be an STD. Well they were wrong and I was 6 weeks pregnant at the time, but again my urine test was negative, and I had my menstruation 2 weeks prior so they were just as confused as I was.

Could I be pregnant if I had light spotting and milk white discharge with a light spot of blood 10 days prior to period?

Is a home pregnancy test positive or negative if it came back with a second line but it looks whitish-pink?

I spoke with a rep at the Answer HPT hotline. They told me that any colored line, partial or full and no matter how faint, that appeared within the ten minute limit should be considered a positive result. They also mentioned that my diluted evening urine might have been to blame for the odd result. They recommended that I have gotten a positive result and to be absolutely sure, test again first thing in the morning tomorrow, and then see my OB/GYN.....!!!!!

I am still curious to hear the answers of others... Please feel free to answer I would love to read your insights....

What if you drank alcohol and did not know you could be pregnant?

Absolutely - yes. Look up Fetal Alcohol Syndrome - it can be devastating for a child all through their lives.

Answer2: Children whose mothers drank even moderate amounts of alcohol during pregnancy can suffer from certain disabilities, including behavioral problems and learning deficits. "You don't have to be an alcoholic to hurt your baby," remarks Professor Ann Streissguth, of the fetal alcohol and drug unit at the University of Washington, "you just have to be drinking enough and pregnant." The report of the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research Alcool-Effets sur la santé notes: "The absorption of alcohol is deleterious during the whole gestational period, and no minimal dose has ever been established below which there are no risks." Consequently, the wisest course for women who are pregnant or planning a pregnancy may be not to drink any alcohol at all.*Alcohol is far worse for the developing fetus than any other abused drug"

Women who are breast-feeding should be aware that after they drink, alcohol builds up in their breast milk. In fact, the concentration of alcohol in breast milk is often higher than in blood, since there is more water in the milk to absorb the alcohol than there is in blood. How can you get your period early one month?

You can't get your period early, that is you can't make your period come early. You menstruate in accordance to your menstrual cycle, you can't speed-up your menstrual cycle or skip phases of your cycle to menstruate earlier. There's no need to make your periods come earlier either, there is nothing you can't do on your period so just manage your period once it does start.

How long is the average period while on the pill?

How does clotting take place?

Clotting in the blood is perhaps more complex than you may first think, but it is quite an incredible process!

  • First of all, Thromboplastin is released from the damaged tissues and Platelets which are basically parts of dead cells.
  • The Platelets then stick to exposed collagen on the wall of the blood vessel. At this point, the platelets change from a flat disc to a rounded sphere with branches.
  • The platelets form what is called a platelet plug and effectively surround the damaged tissue.
  • Here is the most complex bit, the contact between collagen and the blood causes the blood to change:
  1. The soluble plasma proteinProthrombin is turned into Thrombin which is an enzyme.
  2. This enzyme turns the soluble plasma protein Fibrinogen into the long fibrous protein Fibrin.
  3. The Fibrin form a mesh around the damaged tissue and traps red blood cells to form a clot.

Hope this helps!

Is it safe to get a perm when pregnant?

Perms are fine. There is no evidence to suggest it harms the baby. I was bleaching my hair and everything when i was pregnant and she turned out fine.

NO IT'S NOT FINE! Your hormones are changing. It could cause your hair to change color (to something horrible) or the perm might not turn out right. But most importantly those chemicals are horrible and just as back as cigarett smoke to breathe in.

Can you bleed while your pregnant?

Women can bleeding during pregnancy because the old blood left from their last period can be released from her vagina and cause light bleeding. Also a women may bleed when she has conceived and this is called implantation bleeding. The bleeding is rarely ever heavy and like a normal period.

Is it normal to have brown discharge right before labor?

The brown stuff is blood mixing with discharge - blood from your uterus lining sheeding, normally a result of menstruation but sometimes due to other hormonal changes, if it takes time to leave your body it will turn this brown colour rather than looking like red or pink when mixed with discharge.

Could you be pregnant if you spotted for a few days instead of having regular periods for two cycles but a blood test last month was negative?

No you most probably are not pregnant.Get yourself checked out with your OBGYN and maybe have a blood test done to make double sure.Sometimes the lengths of your periods can vary depending on when you ovulated,so if your periods were 6 weeks ago,and you usually have them evry 4 weeks apart, then it could just mean that your ovulation was delayed for this perticular cycle.(periods usually start about 14-16 days after ovulation)At any rate wait another week and take another pregnancy test.If this comes back negetive as well, make an appointment with your OBGYN at the earliest.Good Luck.

answerI DISAGREE. I THINK YOU MISUNDERSTOOD THE QUESTION. HER PERIOD WAS 6 WEEKS AGO...WHICH WOULD MEAN SHE MISSED HER LAST PERIOD(SUPPOSE TO BE EVERY 4 WEEKS, RIGHT?). WHICH WOULD PUT HER AT 2 WEEKS LATE...WITH SPOTTING THEN JUST 2 DAYS AGO...YES, YOU COULD HAVE VERY WELL HAD A LATE IMPLANTATION SPOTTING, OR JUST AN EARLY PREGNANCY BLEED. THIS HAPPENS. ALOT OF THE TIME THE HCG (PREGNANCY HORMONE) WILL BE TOO LOW TO PICK UP WITH A HOME PREGNANCY TEST...BUT A BLOOD TEST WOULD PICK IT UP NO MATTER HOW LOW. .

You had your period for 2 days Regular bleeding you took a pregnancy test yesterday night and early morning today but it was negative Period stop completely you are not even spotting Are you pregnant?

Since it is a sign of pregnancy, take another test free usually st your local health department, also, try and remember in the last month did you have unprotected sex...and do you have nausia a lot?

If you are already pregnant does vaginal bleeding occur when you were supposed to get your period?

It happens in some cases. First, confirm that you are indeed pregnant, via blood hcg test at your doctors office.

Some women will continue to bleed during the time that their period is normally due, but you will notice that the bleeding is a lot less and of shorter duration than a normal period.

One theory for this is that the fertilized embryo has implanted high up in the uterus, and the bleeding that you are getting comes from the lower end of the uterus. Of course, you could ask your doctor what all of the causes and reasons for this to happen.

Is it possible to be pregnant if you have had no symptoms of being pregnant but you have missed your period for two months?

Not necessarily. I have an irregular menstrual cycle and sometimes I will go up to 3 months with out having it. If you are really concerned you should go ahead and buy a PT to ease your worries.

How do you discard early one month pregnancy?

It is the belief of the Roman Catholics that any child or fetus that dies and is not baptized can not enter the kingdom of heaven. I worked in a Catholic Hospital once where if a woman suffered a miscarriage and we could not get the chaplain to baptize the fetus or suspected fetus the nurses were expected to baptize it. At one month it is would not be considered a fetus of yet so disposal of it down the toilet would be normal. We must remember the body is only a shell for the spirit-it is the spirit that counts. Now if she was further along I would cover and save until the doctor examine or follow his orders he might want pathology to examine.

Safe medications during pregnancy?

There is too many to mention, you need to specify. But the golden rule is that if you need medicine you have to check with the doctor first. Some medicines also interact with each other.

Does your period stop while your in water?

No. Your period can't actually STOP fully when you are in water... however, if you are swimming, because you are lying horizontally in the water, the blood will not pour out, i go swim training 6hrs a week, so i just wear a tampon just in case!

The water pressure helps hold the menstrual fluid inside your body, even though the lining is still shedding. Also, since most people are in a horizontal position when swimming, gravity isn't pulling the fluid downwards. However, as soon as you get out of the water, the menstrual fluid will again begin to exit the vagina, and you will have a problem. Therefore, it is best to wear a tampon or a menstrual cup when swimming.
No. It helps to wear a tampon if you're swimming and the water will just dilute the blood. It doesn't affect the blood flow at all.
