Is it better to take a pregnancy test in the morning if you don't think you are very far along?
You should always take a pregnancy test in the morning as at that time the urine is more concentrated and therefore there is more hormone in it and it is more likely to show as pregnant. Later in the day the urine is weaker, therefore the hormone is weaker and may not be strong enough to show up. So the answer to your question is YES. Early in pregnancy an early morning test may show pregnant where a later one may not.
What is considered heavy bleeding during pregnancy?
2.2L of blood is critical in any medical emergency.
Anywhere near 1L is serious. There are many factors and reasons for bleeding. If the blood is mixed with other fluids such as when the "water" breaks, it may look like more. Generally serious heavy bleeding is thick and dark red.
Period amounts generally not so serious but need to be assessed for the reason. This could be simply the separation of the placenta from the uterine wall just before birth. This could be in the form of spotting or heavier bleeding.
Any amount of bleeding should be assessed by trained staff.

Is spotting at 4-5 weeks pregnant normal?
I am five weeks pregnant and I had a bit of brown spotting the day after I got a positive on the home pregnancy test, and then a deep red spot a couple of days later. Now it has reverted to light coffee brown again, and it doesn't happen often, only when I've been to the loo. I can go a few days without spotting and then for no reason it appears again. I've miscarried before and now I would take no chances. Any Dr. will understand that you are concerned. Just get checked out. It won't hurt anybody and you can rest easy knowing everything is okay.

It is normal to bleed a little during pregnancy, but not a lot. Consulting a doctor is the best choice just to make sure. If you do not have insurance or afraid someone you know may find out...there are free clinics out there. I am afraid it does sound as if you are miscarrying.

The use of the birth control pill can extend the length of time before a period occurs, this can vary a lot but is usually around 1 period every year. This is achieved by continuously taking the pill without the 28 day cycle of breaks. This was just added to make women "feel more comfortable" as the guys who decided thought a woman would freak out at no longer having periods. There is no added risk by continuously taking the pill so you only get your period at a much less frequent rate. If you are already on the pill I would suggest not having a period every month, why would you not just ask your doctor about it. All the ones I ask act as if you should be doing it already they just don't tell you unless you ask for some reason.

That is normal I didn't have one when I was on it. You better take fluid pills bc I weighed 93 ponds now I weigh 148 since I was on it I've been off 3 months and still have lots od fliuds on me. Good luck. An your period will be messed up for about 6 months when you get off of it.
The late period, tender breasts and frequent urination all suggest you may be pregnant. The big (?) stomach may be wind, also common in early pregnancy. Leave it a couple of days and take another test.

It is not "one in a million" women that have a normal-like period while pregnant. i have heard from a LOT of women who have had them. one woman i know had a period every month for 4 months and was pregnant. do not listen to the answer above this! that is not true. if you think you could be pregnant, but your HPT says negative, either wait a week, or go to your OBGYN. :)
