the heater on my scudo is exatly the same but now and again it will run for a couple of seconds but will stop sounding like its jamming so ill have to strip it down and investigate hope its not to hard to remove

If you mean the radio immobiliser leave the ignition on for ten to fifteen minutes or when you are driving leave radio on and it will reset itself ready for the code. If you don't know the code check your booklet or pull radio out, check all round and if you lucky someone will have put it in either of these places. If not your local Peugeot dealer will be happy to rip you off and supply it. (assuming it original Peugeot radio of course, otherwise cheaper to get a new one).

Firstly make the engine bay safe by removing the battery.

Remove the engine cover by undoing the 4 retaining quarter turn caps.

Crack off the highpressure pipes that go from the common rail to the injectors, make sure you do this gently and with the correct size spanner or crowfoot socket.

Undo the pipes fully from the common rail and the injectors.

unplug the injector from the harness (the small electrical connector on the top of each injector)

with the pies out of the way you can now access the 13mm nut that holds the injector support bar.

Then the injectors can be lifted out, sometimes they need a little persuasion, but be gentle. Also make sure once the injectors have been removed the copper ring on the bottom of each injector is replaced and is totally clean before refitting.

On most vehicles pressing the brake pedal activates a brake light switch which is usually located near the brake pedal. It will be this switch that is faulty. Replacing it is probably the best option.

Probably could make it fit with a lot of work. Its not something i would do though, far too much to convert. As well as the engine you will need custom engine mounts, new fuel tank, fuel lines, engine wiring harness, engine ecu, display clocks. Upon this you have the fact that the 206 is a multiplexed wiring system with lots of control ECUs, so getting it to integrate with the older 306 ecu etc(if at all possible), would not be too simple. ALL THIS IS IF THE ENGINE AND GEARBOX EVEN FIT!!!! If you want my opinion, as a Peugeot technician for years, dont bother even trying.

you pull the latch which should be near the steering wheel and then go to the front of the car and find a little lever which u push up, that releases the bonnet and then do what ever you need to do

A 306 HDI may continue to run after you switch off the engine if the ignition timing is set improperly. This will force the engine to continue running for several seconds.

Stock turbo is a K03, If your looking to upgrade( raise the boost) I would got to a 306 forum and check out what other 306 owners have bought and what they recommend/like. You can also get a feed back as to positive/negative affects of the change and what they would have change/recommend changing.

hi..im sorry if ive got your hopes up and you think this is an answer to your problem but the truth is ive got the same problem..ive got a 1998 peugeot 306 1.9 diesel and some peugeot 306 models have a sensor with the fitting attached (picture available if you send an email address to me) the sensor on mine goes into a gromit attached to a bracket bolted to the engine but the bracket is not there and i don't know what it looks like neither can i buy one because peugeot agents don't list one.!..hope you've had some luck..regards.

i had the same s&&t, but now it doesn`t start at all... I think the problem is with the sprarcle, or it might be electricity loose somewhere...

The engine light on a Peugeot 306 symbolises that there is an engine fault. As part of the start up process this light will be on, and remain on for a few seconds after the engine has started.

If this light fails to turn off after 10 seconds or comes on while driving you are recommended to consult a Peugeot trained mechanic who will be able to plug in your car to a diagnostics machine and work out what the problem is.

pug diesel turbo r good for 150,,,170 thousand miles...

The above answer is mad I bought my partner a pug 306 D its done 130,000 miles I dont know for sure if its ever been replaced but it was in serious danger of snapping when I checked it. A manual for this car will state a chgange every 72000 miles max but recommend every 36,000miles. Using the above advice im sorry is dangerous.

it is a 5 minute job and no you dont have to strip the engine down . Just follow the four spark plug leads to the plug do one at a time so you dont mix the leads up remove lead by pulling it off the plug remove plug with proper size sparkplug spanner or socket put new plug in but check the gap is correct usally you can get this from any shop that sells the plugs some are preset tighten to reasonable tightness put lead on and do the same with the rest. hope this helps ..

have you tried getting sum 1 to push dawn on the bonnet and puling the lever ??

The spare tire is located in the trunk compartment, below the floor. Lift the floor of the trunk compartment up and the tire will be visible.

A Peugeot 306 that has a noisy fan and overheating may need a fan replacement. One may also look into the coolant or thermostat to resolve the issue.
