A Peugeot 306 that has a noisy fan and overheating may need a fan replacement. One may also look into the coolant or thermostat to resolve the issue.

Since the break lights turn on when the head lights are activated, the problem is probably in the wiring of your break lights. Someone may have accidentally disconnected the wires of your break lights to your head lights.

You will need a 35 mm socket.

The heater motor on the Peugeot 306 is under the glove box, in the passenger footwell.

First, remove the sound proofing panel, this clips off. Inside you will see the fan assembly is offset towards the left side (towards the passenger door hinge). There are 3 screws which need to be remove, 2 of which are towards the front, near the 3 pin electrical block which supplied power to the heater blower motor.

Unscrew the 3 screws after removing the electrical connector. A sharp tug downwards will free the motor itself, and a little twisting and turning will remove it. You should be able to do this in about 10-20 minutes usually.

Replacing is simply the reverse of this. I would suggest that any replacement motor is tested before you fit it in, it takes only a few seconds to test and will save you time.

remove the drawer in the center console near the back seats and then remove the cover that has the two small air vents by pulling it towards the rear seats. Will be visible the stud bolt.

Depends on what years the car and van are on but the majority of peugeot hdi's used the same block and heads and all had the RHY engine code (also knows as dw10td engines). If the codes on the engines tally then yes it should.

On most vehicles the fan or fans will run continuously if the A/C is on. If the A/C is off and it is continuously running check the thermal switch.

It refers to the type of fuel injection system, in this case High-pressure Direct Injection.

This often happens after fitting a new battery in the key fob.

Look in the hand book that's with the car, its a simple process of re-programming the fob to the car. Takes about 5 mins.

If you do not have a hand book it can be downloaded from many sites including the Peugeot home site.

Correct coolant level for the 306 is about 4 inches below the top of the radiator. If it is filled any higher the car will blow out the excess DO NOT OVERFILL

To unlock the immobilizer there is a button with lines on it near the ignition switch, as you turn the ignition press this button, it will turn off the immobilizer.

The flashing warning light may be an indication that the air conditioning system is drawing too much power from the battery. A weak battery or alternator can be the cause of this problem.

Remove the throttle butterfly unit and thoroughly clean with carboretter cleaner or WD40 in a round butterfly seatings, as build up of residue will not allow the throttle butterfly to close, hence sending false readings. I had the same problem on my ZX 16v. it was just the small vac hose on the inlet manifold to the ecu. It had a split in it. Try that.

You will need a 3/8 drive ratchet and 6 inch extension bar, 10mm socket, a 8mm socket, a 12mm long reach socket, a universal joint, a set of Allen keys, a new inter-cooler to manifold gasket, thread lock liquid (Locktite) and a flat blade screwdriver. The inter-cooler lies across the top of the engine and has to be removed for access. Make sure the engine is cold. Undo the two 10mm screws (front) and 3 Allen screws (rear) from the inter-cooler. loosen the large jubilee clip and pull the inter-cooler off the large rubber hose. Flip the inter-cooler forward so it lies on top of the radiator filler. There is no need to remove the thin pipe. The glow plugs sit in a line behind the fuel pump and dipstick holder. They are wired together and there is a feed wire. Using the 8mm socket, extension and universal as necessary remove the nuts and wires from the glow plugs. Note glow plug 3rd from the left (facing) has the wire that connects the four together and the feed wire connected to it. With the 12mm long reach socket, extension and universal as necessary remove and replace the glow plugs one by one. Refit the wiring and, using thread-lock on the Allen screws, replace the inter-cooler, replacing the gasket as you go. Note: the longer Allen screw goes nearest the battery. Ensure the jubilee clip is tight. Clear all tools away. Start the car.

This, according to a friend who works for a Peugeot dealer, can only be done at a main dealer, as the proper Peugeot diagnostic computer has to be used to reprogramme the keys and the car's immobilizer etc.

The rear light cluster is attached via a screw behind the facia panel at the back. You will need to remove the plastic panel in the boot behind the light cluster and unscrew the unit before you can remove it to change the bulb.

I had an hj61 cruiser. the aerial could be accessed from a cutout in the panel under the bonnet. Try this. It was obvious once i looked for it.
