Why does my anti pollution fault light keep coming on on my peugeot 307?

Where is the brake light fuse on the 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe?
The brake light fuse is in the fuse panel below the dash on the left side of steering column.
That would be the water temperature indicator. It means that your engine is overheating. Check the radiator fluid levels. If you are low, add coolant and see if the light goes out. If it does not, you may have a bad sensor. If you have been driving for a while with the light on, it may be time for some costly engine repairs.
Be aware that due to the piston and that you have to twist it clockwise for it to retract it added about 1 hour to my time. The reason you have to do this is that there is an handbrake lever on the caliper and this is self adjusting. If you depress this leaver the piston pushes out. To retract you cannot simply use a clamp and push the piston, you have to wind it back in. I will say again that this takes some time.
Hope this helps and should save about £50 compared to maid dealer prices. Pads around £25 for just rear.
A simpler way is to buy a brake piston retractor from an auto factors shop cost about £35 and a set of rear brake pads costing £20.
Put car into first gear and chock front wheels and release handbrake.
Slacken rear wheel nuts, raise car using hydraulic jack and place support under back subframe and remove wheel.
Remove only the lower 13mm lower bolt a pair of pliers will be needed to stop the back pin turning while you do this and remove lower bolt only.
Disconnect the handbrake cable and squeeze the plastic barb on the handbrake cable plastic shoulder and push back through the cable support bracket.
The handbrake cable is now free.
The whole Brake caliper will now pivot upwards exposing the brake pads.
Tie the caliper back to support it while removing the pads, sometimes they stick grab the metal edge of the pads with a pair of pliers and remove.
When putting new pads in carefully remove the paint on the metal edges of the pad where this contacts the shim and use a very small amount of copper ease grease onto the metal edge only I.e. not the Pad friction face.
Do not get any on the rotor or pad surfaces.
Use the Caliper piston retractor to push the piston back into the caliper.
It will turn the brake piston as well as applying a push force until the Piston is fully retracted.
Rotate the caliper downwards onto the Brake pads ensuring that these are still in contact with the brake rotor and re-fit lower bolt with new one and tighten.
Connect brake cable and wheel, re-tughten wheel nuts, lower car and re-torque wheel nuts.
Total time to replace both sets of rear brake pads with the correct brake piston retractor will be 30 minutes.
Time without will be several hours of frustration and anger at french car designers !!

How do you fit peugeot 406 wiper blades?
well u need to get the wipers in the service position, one way of doing this is by by lifting the bonnet an then u can pull the wiper blades of the screen and have them pointing out.
next part is to remove the blade to do this u can sqeeze a clip which is in between the wiper blade and the wiper arm once u do this u can slide it off. if it is dificult u may need 2 reposition it and slide it off with ur strength making sure not 2 damage it.
then just replace with the new wiper blades
there is a better way of doing this and easyer way and you don't have to lift your bonnet, buy the correct length wipers in bosch wipers normally 18"/22" they have a speical clip on them so you don't have to lift your wiper arms up in the air and takes seconds to fit

What should the oil temperature read on a peugeot 406 hdi 2003?
To the best of my knowledge the 406 does not have an oil temperature gauge, what it does have is an oil level gauge. This system samples the oil level when the ignition is first turned on and displays it for 30 seconds or so when the engine is started. When active the lights behind the needle also come on. At the end of this period the lights go out and the needle drops to the "off" position.
It does not monitor the oil level continuously as the oil level in the sump falls when the engine is running due to the amount of oil pumped into the upper reaches of the engine.
Hope this helps.

Fog light switch location 2000 dodge stratus?
Fog light switch on similar vehicle (2005 Sebring) is on the end of the light control arm, on the left side of the steering wheel. The fog light is turned on by pulling out on the cap (end of the control arm) or pushing back "in" to turn it off.
Where is the oil drain plug on peugeot 307 HDi?
You need to remove the plastic cover under the engine which is held in with approx 9 twist fastenings (you can turn them through 90 degrees to release them using a coin). You should be able to feel the drain plug which is at the back of the sump facing towards the rear of the car. You will need an oil drain plug key to remove the plug .
There are loads on eBay but most are in sets but the one I use on my 2 litre 307HDI is marked 9mm 5/16"

How do you change battery from Peugeot 307?
Battery Disconnection Procedure From hereon in the soft boot procedure will be described as the '3 Minute Rule'
PROCEDURE FOR BATTERY DIS-CONNECTION (The 3 Minute Rule)
Whenever a vehicle battery has to be dis-connected, switch off all equipment,
interior lights etc, close the doors leaving the drivers window open.
Switch off the ignition and remove the key and any DIAG equipment.
Wait a full 3 minutes before disconnecting the battery.
The BSi must be allowed to go to SLEEP i.e. into "power save mode". Do not
operate any equipment on the vehicle during this time. Remember, even
opening the bonnet will wake the BSi on a vehicle fitted with alarm.
If the battery is under the bonnet, open the bonnet first and leave it up. 807
batteries can be dis-connected through the drivers window, remove floor cover
first. (note, Pics are under the passenger seat)
ALWAYS disconnect any DIAG equipment and do not operate any plips from
other vehicles during the 3 minute waiting period.
PROCEDURE FOR BATTERY RECONNECTION
Unless otherwise instructed by Product Service, you must always
carry out the following procedure, often referred to as a "soft re-boot", to
minimise the possibility of the BSi corrupting its own software when
reconnecting the vehicles battery supply.
Ensure the procedure for battery disconnection has been adhered to and
importantly all BSi functions were switched off with the drivers window left
down.
1 Close all doors
2 Remove ignition key if left in ignition
3 Reconnect battery. DO NOT open any doors
4 Wait 10 seconds
5 Switch on headlights through the drivers window (you will hear a "bong") (note: Snap-on says Side-lights)
6 Switch on ignition then start the vehicle and check system functions
NOTE: Upon reconnection, if any vehicle function controlled by the BSi i.e .
interior light is switched on,the internal operation of the BSi has the potential
to spike or corrupt its configuration and software program......
============================================================
This makes it difficult to fault find the BSI circuit board live. The danger seems to be whilst trying to find a simple indicator fault we could end up with a vehicle off the road or windows stuck down due to software corruption. Where is the reverse light switch in a Peugeot 307?
"Where is the reverse light switch in a Peugeot307?" The reverse light switch is located on the transmission housing which is behind/under the air filter housing/battery on the 2.0 litre D turbo model. To replace it you will need to remove the top of the air filter housing and the filter (2 screws plus release the air intake pipe connected to it by a large jubillee clip, also unclip a couple of cables). To remove the switch disconnect the cable clipped to it. You will need a deep 22mm socket and a universal/flexible coupling to unscrew the switch (as access is poor unless you remove the battery compartment/air filter housing).
