What will you get if you eat raw rice?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Consuming raw rice is unsafe and poses several health concerns, such as food poisoning from B. cereus and damage to your digestive tract.

A desire to consume raw rice or other non-nutritive foods could be an underlying sign of pica, which is a psychological disorder that has been associated with hair loss, fatigue, stomach pain, and iron deficiency anemia.

Moreover, raw rice isn’t more nutritious than cooked rice. If you would simply like a healthier rice option, try switching to brown, black, red, or wild rice.

Can a dad with B blood have an o- child?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Yes.

Everyone has two genes actually for blood type, but only the dominant one is expressed.

A and B are dominant over O.

Thus, if you are AA or AO, your blood type is A. If you are BB or BO, your blood type is B.

Because A and B are coequal, if your genes are AB, then your blood type is the (rare) type AB.

The only way you can be blood type O is if you have OO.

If a parent with the genes AO (blood type A) has a child with someone with the genes BO (blood type B), then the baby could get one O from each parent and thus be OO.

Can your baby be christened in any church?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Yes. Although some more exclusive Roman Catholics will disagree, baptism is a Christian sacrament and not a denominational one. Therefore if you are baptised/christened in any orthodox Christian church (one that professes Jesus as Lord and Saviour) and are baptised in the name of the Holy Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit, then the baptism is valid, as you are baptised a Christian and not a member of a particular denomination.

How can a person stop eating argo laundry starch?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

First off, I would really like to know why you started to begin with. That is a little strange. The main thing is to have will power. In anything you are trying to stop doing you have to resist the urge to do it. Depending on how much laundry starch you take, you need to decrease the amount over a month and over time you will stop altogether. You can also use the tactic to avoid being around the starch so that you don't have the urge to eat it. I hope this helped you in your odd need.

Hair smells burnt?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

If your hair smells burnt it could be because of a styling product your using like a srtraightener or curler. In order to try and make this smell go away you should let your hair go natural for a few days and when you take a shower let your hair dry naturally so it can absorb the moisture from the water. In order to prevent this smell from increasing use a heat protectant and visit your choice of salon about every month or 2 and ask to get any split ends cut off.

On the other end, if you burn your hair badly using fire or some other form of heat, it can smell pretty bad.

Are chalk and dust cravings normal while pregnant and is it safe to eat chalk?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Cravings for non-food things (chalk, dirt, tin foil, that sort of thing) is called Pica. It can occur from a nutritional deficiency, and for other reasons. You should contact your doctor or midwife as soon as possible to discuss this with them. Chalk and other Pica cravings can be harmful to you and your developing fetus. Chalk is not intended for consumption and can have toxic ingredients or ingredients that can hurt you and your baby. (I think a couple of years ago a supposedly non-toxic kid's sidewalk chalk was recalled as it had lead in it). Please call your doctor or midwife as soon as possible to discuss this with them, for your safety and the safety of your child.

Why do kids get diabetes more often than adults?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Lack of any physical activity (watching tv and playing video games are huge factors in why kids aren't more active these days), and too many carbs in the diet, like junk food and soda. Got to get those kids off their butts and into some kind of sport, and off unhealthy fast food.

You really am suffering from craving chalk while being pregnant what do you do?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Try eating some tums (one or two, not the entire bottle every night!). Generally a craving for an inedible substance means vitamin deficiencies or an underlying mental illness. Do not give in to these cravings and try to reward yourself with something like ice cream or Snickers. One of the most common reasons for pica (pregnant women craving non food items) is anemia. These problems can cause complications with your pregnancy. I recommend that you call your doctor of midwife as soon as possible to try to get things straightened out for a healthy pregnancy.

If you have been eating chalk for three years but are trying to stop how can you curb your chalk cravings?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I am not sure why you are eating chalk in the first place. Eating items not usually considered food is called pica. This website is quite good. http://www.metrokc.gov/health/tsp/pica.htm I suggest a visit to a physician to ensure you are not suffering any medical condition which would cause a craving for this unusual substance. If nothing comes to light then some psychological insight might be helpful to help break the habit. http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/684363/2/istockphoto_684363_halloween_candy_w_spider_ring.jpg I would figure that eating the multi colored pill type candy pictured here; would satisfy the chalk eating experience.

How many days can you go without eating before getting sick?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

What do you mean "to starve yourselft to get sick"???? do you mean how long does it take for it to be an eating disorder? How long it takes to be 'too skinny'? How long it takes to make you vomit? Despite my conufusion, all questions need answering, so I will do my best:

If you mean "for it to be an eating disorder", here is the answer:it becomees an eating disorder when you just keep on starving yourself exessively to loose weight because no matter what anyone says, you see yourself as a fat girl even thought you are pencil thin. that's when its an eating disorder.

If you mean "for you to be 'too skinny' ",it is relatively the same as before: as soon as you get into the mind-set that you are fat even though everyone says you're "loosing weight too fast" or "your getting too thin", and as soon as your weight is much more below a healthy weight, you are too skinny. you would be able to tell, trust me.

I you mean "to vomit", here is the answer: it is somewhat difficult to answer this one, but I'll try. First of all, not everyone vomits when they are starving themselves, only about 16% of all people do. If you try to make yourself vomit while starving yourself using gag reflex, ipecac, mustard seed oil with salt, or some other crazy mechonism , that is very dangerous. Inducing vomiting to loose weight is called bulimia, and is serious. Just so you know, starving yourself too loose weight is called anorexia. A combination of the two can end up deadly.

Even though your question confused me, I did my best on it. Hope it helps.
