To restore tension in the window spring of a 1992 Firebird passenger side window motor, you need to remove the door panel to access the motor and regulator assembly. Carefully detach the motor from the regulator to access the spring mechanism. Using a suitable tool, such as pliers, you can manually wind the spring to increase tension, ensuring it is securely reattached to the regulator. On your 91 firebird with 3.1 v6 fuel inj. the eng runs bad and shuts off you pulled a spark plug and it was soaked with fuel any ideas?

Did you only check one cylinder? If you only checked one, you may have just by chance picked a cylinder that was misfiring. The most likely reason to have unburned fuel is if that cylinder isn't burning. Check ignition and compression that cylinder. But I would check the other cylinders first. A misfire may also explain your engine's poor performance.

I checked the compress in the cylinders 125-130 psi is that good?

There isn't one, however there is a blower located on the passengers side where their right foot would be. It is held in place by 3 bolts, remove those and clean the blower and that should eliminate any foul odors coming in to the cabin.

How do you replace shifter cable on a 1989 Pontiac Firebird?

C-4 and duct tape. But seriously, it is a design flaw in the machine. I've gone through four (4) cables in the past year because top of the line replacement parts are BS! Barring redesigning the system yourself; stock up them cables, reschedule all of your Saturdays and get use to not having a center console.

Why would oil come out of the dipstick at high rpm on a 74 Pontiac 400.?

This is kind of a strange one and something you don't see often. The only thing I can suggest you check is the PCV valve. It sounds a little strange, but I had a Pontiac 400 that would do this. The previous owner had plugged off the PCV valve in the valley pan. Crankcase pressure builds up and can actually force oil and blow by through the dipstick. The PCV valve pulls that pressure out of the crankcase and keeps this from happening. That's the only thing I can suggest you check. If it's not that....your guess is as good as mine.
