There is the Amazonian one in Central and South America, One in Africa, One in India, and one in Australia.

Rainforests once covered 14% of the earth's land surface; now they cover a mere 6% and experts estimate that the last remaining rainforests could be consumed in less than 40 years.

The rain forest can provide us with services such as research. This research can be used in medicine or biodiversity -a variety of life in the same ecosystem. We also get goods from the rain forest which includes things like food, medicines and raw materials like wood or fuels.

Mali does contain rainforest. According to estimates Mali contains roughly twelve and a half a million hectares of forest (that is 50,000 square miles). Current estimates suggest it is loosing about 0.56% of its forest cover a year- between 1990 and 2010 it lost 11.2% of its cover.

El Yunque National Forest is located on the east central portion of Puerto Rico. The center of the park is located about 50 km (31 Miles) east of Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport, or about 60 km (37 Miles) east of the cruise ship docks in Old San Juan.

Depending on the time of day travel time can nearly double from nominally an hour to at worst 2 hours. It is a good idea to generally allow an hour and a half travel time from Old San Juan to the center of El Yunque National Forest.
