2). Why should efforts to save the rain forests include the people who live near them? Local people are often poor and have few options for making money. Instead, they take jobs with the loggers and farmers that are destroying the rain forest.

3).Why do efforts include people who live outside of countries where rain forests are found? The Brazilian government, and other organizations are working to protect 10 percent of the Amazon rain forest.
