The coatimundi live in the tropical rainforests of South America and in parts of Mexico. The species named the ring-tailed coatimundi and mountain coati are found in many countries of South America. While the species named the white-nosed coati and Cozumel Island coati live in Mexico. The Coatimundi belongs to the raccoon family.

Antarctica does not have an economy the only people that live there are research scientists so there is no benefit to the local economy form tourists. Holiday companies do run trips to there in the summer but the numbers are very low about 300 people a year. The tourists do have an impact on the environment but the people visiting it are also the most likely to want to protect it in the future. So there needs to be a balance between the damage and the awareness raising that happens from the trips. As long as the numbers do not get too high tourism may have a good impact on the future of Antarctica.

There are over hundreds of thousands of animals left in the entire world, and there are also organisms that are not even discovered, because every day scientist find a new organism and even new species of animals in the tropical rain forest and if you add all of them together, then there are over millions of species so more organisms are found each day.

There are two types of rainforests, Tropical rainforests and Temperate rainforests. Thus rainforests may be found in many places on Earth and the conditions in them is determined by the climatic zone in which they occur (hot in the tropics, cool in the temperate zones/elevations). The one thing they have in common is high (daily) rain and high humidity!
