I will give you the directions straight from the book.

First turn the ignition switch to sccessory position. Press and hold the tow outside buttons releasing only when the indicator light begins to flash approximately 20 seconds.

Hole the end of the hand held transmitter of the device you wish to train approximately 1 to 3 inches away from the Home Link surface keeping the indicator light in view. Do not release the buttons until the next step has been completed.

The Home Link indicator light will flash, first slowly then rapidly, both buttons may be releases. The rapid flashing light indicates successful programming of the new frequency signal.

I really hope this helps. I am having difficulty presetting the radio stations and the book is of no use in helping me.

Many factors to be sorted, age of vehicle , what they want to give and what you will take if not totalled. I have a 72 Nova was hit in rear quarter panel. Insurance said blue book value wasnt but about 500 dollars, I refused to let them total it and got a 750 dollar check from them, drove home. This worked because it falls into vintique classic. Newer vehicles are harder to do this with, You DO have the option of buying the car back from insurance and fixing it as a total and getting a rebuild title. Sister has a Subaru Outback, she rear ended a PU, it did no frame damage all sheet metal damage. They paid her 5,000 or so for the total, she bought it back for 1,100 had body work done for 2,000 so she eneded up with 2,000 in her pocket , the car fixed but with a rebuild title so car is worth 3,000 or so still but you cant tell it was ever wrecked Usually not.

The system consists of a remote, commonly called a "keyfob" and a receiver module located somewhere on the car. This module may be incorporated inside another module or computer on the car, or it may be a stand-alone, separate module. When you press the keyfob button, a signal is sent out by the keyfob. This signal includes a numeric pass code. In other words a series of numbers that could be several digits long. You could compare this to the combination of a combination lock. If the combination agrees with the stored information that has been programmed into the receiver module, the doors unlock, lock, or whatever is supposed to happen, happens.

on My 2004 rodeo with a delphi remote you sit in the car put the ignition to on so all the dash lights up close the door then press both buttons on the remote for a few seconds got this answer from a main dealer worked great.
