Is it possible to make a robot?

Yes.

In that people can become oblivious to the world around them when they begin to go through their daily routines in an automatic, unfeeling manner.

No.

People cannot become mechanical devices as shown in fiction. The complexity of the human body is far greater than the most intricate machine ever created.

Where is the position of capacitance of tube light?

The small cylindrical thing that You see (generally on a side of the choke coil) is the "starter " of the tube light. This is the capacitor used in tube light. And is used to provide a momentary voltage rise of nearly 400V to start up the tube light hence Starter.

Do I Robot and The Bicentennial Man contain the three laws of Robotics?

== == Yes, both contain the Three Laws of Robotics.

The Three Laws of Robotics:

1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

The above is directly quoted from Isaac Asimov's The Complete Robot.

How can robots helps us?

when you can look at this in two ways, the good side or the bad side. On the good side they could help us do dangerous things, in witch case, they could save life's and they can do things we don't want to do. On the bad side of things we could get lazy from not having to do any thing so we would also get fat and it would also pollute the world! i hope that helped :)

What do robots do today?

Today Robots are used to do tasks that are either too dirty, difficult, repetitive or dull for humansThey can work, play explore, move, sense, think and live.Robots are becoming smarter to do more and more things that we can't do or don't want to.

Was Frankenstein a robot?

Frankenstein wasn't a robot. He was a human, he was the scientist Albert Frankenstein who made the monster in the gothic novel, 'Frankenstein', the Modern Prometheus, by Mary Shelly.

Which writer established the three laws of robotics?

Isaac Asimov established the three laws of robotics:

  1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
  2. A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
  3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

He portrayed a world where Robots were far more than the computer-controlled machines that we currently use for routine tasks.

How to bild a robot?

This is one of the smallest and simplest autonomous ones I have found yet, thanks to FriPilot http://members.tripod.com/robomaniac_2001/id120.htm Otherwise, if you prefer robot kits, some hobby stores sell a few inexpensive ones that are sometimes configurable, like these guys http://www.kitsusa.net/phpstore/html/Robot-Kits---Non-Soldering-1-1.html Or, some of the less expensive construction kits like Lego or K-NEX or Construx or a few others have motors and gears in the kits.

When were the first major developments in technology?

At its simplest form, the definition to technology is the usage of knowledge, tools, and techniques in order to solve a problem, ergo, fire was the given answer. The first major technological advancement and to this day, one of the most important, is the wheel, invented during the 4th millennium BC.But the first technology was invented by Leonardo's descendent who invented a battery powered phone which couldn't do anything

What is the difference between analogue and digital system?

the main difference in analoge and digital system is analog is continues type of data and ditital is discreate type of data. e.g old galvanometer having needle is analog but new multimeter is digital in which voltage and current is shown in digits... analog is not much accurate..but digital is accurate...

What does Will Smith wear in I Robot?

What was Isaac Asimov's 2nd Law of Robotics?

1) A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

2) A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

3) A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

How do you make a toy robot?

This is one of the smallest and simplest autonomous ones I have found yet, thanks to FriPilot http://members.tripod.com/robomaniac_2001/id120.htm Otherwise, I have had pretty good luck with buying small remote control cars at the dollar store (or the stuff my nephews throw away) and taking them apart to reconfigure the motors into what I want, but that ends up with wires connecting the robot to the controller. Some of the people I work with have pieced together radio control cars and other parts to get radio control robots. If you prefer robot kits, some hobby stores sell a few inexpensive ones that are sometimes configurable. Otherwise some of the less expensive construction kits like Lego or K-NEX or Construx or a few others have motors and gears in the kits. If you have a larger budget, Lego Mindstorms, Bioloid and several others are more advanced kits that are programmable and autonomous. Some very important terms to keep in mind are: operator controlled - the robot has motors in it, maybe some electronics, it doesn't move until you push a button or lever on the controller. remotecontrol - usually connects the robot to the controller by a wire, you can usually keep the batteries in the controller to make the robot lighter. radiocontrol - the controller is a transmitter, the robot has a receiver on it, both need batteries or some other power suppy. autonomous - you set up the robot and hardwire it or program it to run sets of commands, when you set it down and turn it on it runs the commands. Usually requires programming knowledge (like BASIC, C language, Assembly, ForTran, COBOL or some others) and electronics knowledge (like soldering, power supply vs. load, Programmable Logic Arrays, Trans/ceivers, sensors, and many other options). But of course it is the most fun. sensory feedback - the robot can have switches, sensors or detectors on it that send information back to the controller (or its processor if it is autonomous). Might require a transmitter on the robot and a receiver in the controller (with some indicators to tell you what the robot is "sensing"). Anthropomorphism - "the attribution of uniquely human characteristics to non-human" things and critters. There is a ton of things that can go together to make a robot. If you learn how to fix toys, appliances and cars it definitely helps you figure out robots.

Are robots real?

The type you see in films? - No.

Robots are commonly used in manufacturing processes to assemble everything from mobile phone circuit boards to cars. They are used to carry out repetitive tasks, quickly and accurately.

Lester says:

Films those are robots, just some of them is, some the computer makes it, but at least computer are robots, too.

Who made the first robot?

The first robot was made in the year 2029. Its purpose was to be sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor and by doing so, alter the future as we know it as she would eventually bear a child named John Connor that would save the human race. However the robot given the name "Terminator" would eventually be crushed by a heavy piece of metal thus failing its mission and purpose for having been made in the first place.

What term refers to the process used to produce a good or service such as using a robotic device to assemble cars?

Automation refers to any manufacturing process that uses computer controlled manufacturing. In industry, robotics is often referred to as automated manufacturing.

What is a fully automated home called?

A "smart home" refers to a residence that is equipped with devices and systems that can be remotely controlled and automated. These devices are connected to a central hub or network, allowing homeowners to manage and control various aspects of their home through a smartphone, tablet, or voice commands.

A smart home typically includes a variety of features and functionalities that enhance convenience, comfort, security, and energy efficiency. Some common components of a smart home include:

  1. Smart Security: Smart security systems provide enhanced surveillance and protection. These may include smart door locks, security cameras, motion sensors, and alarm systems that can be controlled and monitored remotely.

  2. Ambience Control: Smart homes often include technology that allows homeowners to control lighting, temperature, and other environmental factors. This can be done through smart bulbs, smart thermostats, and smart switches, allowing for personalized settings and energy savings.

  3. Scene Control: With scene control, homeowners can create pre-set scenes or scenarios that automate various aspects of their home. For example, a "movie night" scene could dim the lights, lower the blinds, and turn on the TV and audio system with a single command or button press.

  4. Curtain Control: Smart curtain systems enable automated control of curtains or blinds, allowing homeowners to adjust privacy, sunlight, and temperature with ease.

Before the advent of modern smart home technology, there were examples of homes that incorporated some elements of automation and remote control. However, these early systems were limited in scope and functionality compared to today's smart homes.

One notable example is the "X10" technology, introduced in the 1970s. X10 used electrical wiring to transmit signals and control devices like lights and appliances. Although it had limitations and reliability issues, it laid the foundation for future advancements in home automation.

Another example is the "Clapper," a sound-activated device introduced in the 1980s that allowed users to control lights and appliances by clapping their hands. While simplistic in comparison to modern smart home systems, it showcased the concept of remote control and automation.

Overall, while elements of automation and remote control existed before the technology behind smart homes was fully developed, the scope and capabilities of these early systems were far more limited compared to the sophisticated, interconnected, and feature-rich smart homes we have today.

What is the fullform of PIC controller?

PICs are microcontrollers made by Microchip, Inc. PIC microcontrollers are used mostly in embedded control applications. Microchip offers hundreds of different PIC devices from tiny 6 pin packages up to 121 pin devices. The PIC line is offered in several families, based on an 8 -bit, 16-bit, or 32-bit core processor with various sets of peripheral and interface hardware on the chip. Each PIC has a processor, program memory, data memory, on board clock circuitry, timers and inputs and outputs.

Depending on the device chosen, the memory, operating speed and I/O capacity will vary. Additional functions may include A-D converters, serial ports, USB ports, external memory access, pulse width modulation, Ethernet ports, comparators, voltage references and more.

Because of the small instruction set and free assembler, PIC programmers often use assembly language to write programming. Although some higher-level language tools are available, languages like C are difficult to implement on some PIC devices because of hardware limitations, like a small fixed stack memory.

A vast amount of application and technical data is offered by Microchip. See the website at the link below.
