There are a bunch of great female rock singers from the 1970s. There are Joan Jett, Debbie Harry, Janis Joplin, Ann Wilson, and Pat Benatar, just to name a few.

Yes he had a brief stint in Las Vegas in 1956 but the audience was an "older established crowd" and Elvis considered it to be "a flop". However, he made a life long friendship with Liberace and he was pleased to return to Las Vegas in 1969 and became the most successful entertainer in Las Vegas (and in the world) history.

Vixen is a glam metal band that was all female... some of their most popular songs are "Love is a Killer" and "I Want You to Rock Me".

A thrash metal band with a female vocalist (Doro Pesch) is Warlock, who were also around in the 80's. It's now known as Doro because of legal issues. A couple of popular songs by them are "We Are the Metalheads" and "All We Are"

Oh, and let's not forget Joan Jett- "I Love Rock N Roll"

They have sold over 50 million records worldwide (not many bands can say that), have a total of eight number one singles, been going strong for 15 years, their latest album went platinum, they sell out every venue they play, a gig in England once sent minor shock waves through the surrounding are due to the loudness of the gig and the fact there were 250,000 people jumping and screaming, they could have thirty issues of The Sun newspaper covered front to back with the total amount of articles printed on them, they have the fastest selling debut album in the UK, the list goes on...

However those are all numbers and statistics that don't matter at all. What matters is how they have influenced countless of today's and past musicians/bands. They were the voice of a generation who were tired of the electronic rubbish and looking for something after the death of grunge. They have never split up. The lead singer Liam Gallagher and his brother Noel (songwriter/guitarist) have been in Oasis since the beginning. They don't care what you think. They say what they mean. They play rock and roll music. They don't try to be anyone else but a couple of lads from Manchester who love to play music.

Influential? I guess so.

* Mauel Uribe of Spain is the heaviest, weighing about 1,300 pounds at his highest. * The fattest man ever was Jon Brower Minnoch. He lost over 900 pounds on a 1,700 calorie diet. Sadly, when he was released from the hospital where he lost all the weight he gained most of it back. They discontinued the treatment for the disease he had which caused bodily fluids to weigh more than they were supposed to. They were nearly 90% of his weight. He tragically died 17 months later.
