A thick discharge am thinking cheesy looking accompanied by an itch sounds so much like a yeast infection only an acute one. If not could be an STI which is even worse. I have eczema too and you may want to check with your doctor first, but I use Aveeno Oatmeal bath to help soothe the itch. Try to keep him out of the sun, as sweating and overheating only makes it worse. The Aveeno Oatmeal baths are great, just let him soak in the tub with warm water, not hot. Also, keep the areas moisturized! The more dry the skin the worse. Use non-scented lotions and soaps. Cetaphil, found at any local drugstore, is good for b/c there is no scent or dyes and it's not greasy feeling like some of the other super moisturizing lotions. Hope this helps!

Have yourself checked for Diabetes. I know that it makes your skin 'itchy', but I doubt if it is only after you eat 'sweet foods'. You could be allergic to some of these 'sweet foods'. See your doctor.

I recently went through a bout of itching like you've described, and it lasted for maybe a month or more. I went to my doctor who did some pretty thorough blood testing, and found that I had a vitamin D deficiency (which was strange, since my multi-vitamin contains 100% of the daily requirement for vitamin D). She started me on a vitamin D supplement (Metagenics), and also gave me a steroid shot. I can't say which one helped, but I no longer have the itching.
