How many months pregnant are you at sixteen weeks?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

you are 3.72 months. pregnant.

Let me explain...

the average person would multiply 16 by 4...thinking that there is perfect 4 weeks in every single month. If you think that way then every single month would be 28 days long. (7x4=28..'which is 7 days in a week, and people use 4 weeks in a month') So anyways, there is actually 4.3 weeks in a month. So, you would take how ever many weeks you are and divide by 4.3..(this is where 9 month pregnancies come from...

40 weeks divided by 4.3 = 9.3 months.

Everyone thinks that pregnancies are supposed to be 10months these days...and that's NOT the case. It's always been '9' months...

So again...you're 3.7 months along. so you're 3 months 21 days..(ish)... lol

good luck.

Is it possible for the cramps to become a lot less painful right after the miscarriage?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Once you have passed all of the "contents of pregnancy" the bleeding may subside and the cramps lessen. Everyone is different. Your body is going through a lot during a miscarriage and the cramping is the uterus contracting to empty, so as time goes on the cramps should lighten. Hello - It is possible yes. I am very sorry about your miscarriage. See your Doctor to make certain the Foetus has been expelled.

Is discharge normal?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Women tend to have more vaginal discharge during their ovulation period. This type of discharge should be virtually colorless and odorless. However, if the discharge has a foul odor and/or has a color of yellow, green, or looks curdlike with perhaps itchyness, this could be a sigh of an infection. Jessica

What are normal hemoglobin levels at 25 weeks of pregnancy?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Hemoglobin levels are measured in blood tests routinely given to pregnant women during prenatal visits. Average levels for early in pregnancy should be around 13.3 grams per deciliter. Safest levels between 11g and 12g, but you should really talk to your doctor if you are worried. Even call them in the morning if it bothers you too much, they don't mind.

Can you take a urine test to dertimine how far along you are in pregnancy?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Your home pregnancy test will usually not display a positive result until a day or two after your expected period (not a large enough hormone level in your body to be detected). You may just be stressing yourself out (that is why you are not sleeping/depressed). Best of luck to you.

With my first pregnancy I took a hpt 3 days after my period was suposed to come and it was positive, but with this pregnancy the hpt's didn't show up positive until my SECOND period was a week late. Everyone is different. :)

If your a minor and your having a baby are you automaticaly emancipated after birth?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Pregnant & Wondering About Emancipationto start this off i do not believe this young lady was looking for advice on how well her proper English was today.

other than all that we can get to answering this for you. sweet heart if you want emancipated you have to have valuable reason to do so. you also have to prove that you can support yourself, and your baby. It will indeed be hard to raise a child especially with no help, but if you want whats best for the child know its not impossible. I would also love to add that the whole teenage mother thing is where we get all of our bad people in the world is an absolute false statement. You have to teach what's right is right, and what's wrong is wrong. I happened to have had a teenage mother and not at all the most perfect of lives, and I'm quite positive i don't fall into any of those category's. it's not always necessarily how your brought up, but more or less how your formed, and how you are made that makes you act the way you do. anyways the main question is answered you have to continue on the emancipation and have reason. instead of asking everyone for questions on something like this look it up!!!

You have noticed that you have a pink discharge in the middle of your cycle which has lasted now for 4 days is this normal?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

You may have a infection of sort and the dischange is just mixing with your cycle however, wait and see if it is still happening after your cycle as it may just be nothing. When we are on our cycle it is a natural way to cleanse and may just be that - it has been known to happen. If you find that it is still happening without your cycle you should be checked for any bacterial infection (such as yeast) and have an STD test done as well.

Is it normal to have 2.5 cms cervical length during 18 weeks of pregnancy?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

During pregnancy, a woman's cervix can measure between 2.5 - 4.0 cm with the average being close to 3.0 cm. As the due date approaches, the cervix becomes shorter (effacement). At 18 weeks, you probably had your cervix measured during your level 2 sonogram. If you are concerned that your length is a little lower than the average, you can get a second opinion. There can be some degree of technician error and you could have a higher reading the second time. A cervical length less than 1.5 cm during the second trimester is associated with preterm birth. In such cases, woman are limited to strict bed rest.

What is the solution to a cervix opening while you are 5 month's pregnant?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The best solution would be to find out the cause of premature labor. Having a bladder, kidney, vaginal or uterine infection can all cause premature labor. Curing the infection may be all that is needed.

Some times the doctor is not able to determine what caused labor to begin early. For some women bed rest will prevent the onset of labor when premature effacement and dilation threaten a pregnancy. Some women will need bed rest and medication such as Magnesium Sulfate, this is given through an IV. There are also oral medications used to decrease the frequency of contractions that may be helpful.

A procedure called a cervical cerclage is usually performed between 12-14 weeks of pregnancy. However, some women may need a cerclage placed later in pregnancy, after changes such as opening or shortening of the cervix have already begun. Under anesthesia the doctor places a band of strong thread around the cervix, to hold the cervix firmly closed. It is usually removed at 37 weeks.

Can you ride a roller coaster in the first trimester?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The lap bars or other safety harnesses could actually kill your baby if you were to pushed hard enough against it. Not only that I hear from my doctor that the placenta could actually become detatched from the uterine from the speed that you are going and how hard it bounces you around. It would almost be the same injuries as if someone punched in the belly if not worse.
