Is Yugoslavia the only major country in Europe that was neither a communist nor a capitalist ally?
Yugoslavia no longer exists as a country.
It has been many different types of country.
Yugoslavia was created in 1918, but from 1918 to 1929 it was called the the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes
From 1929 to 1943 it was the Kingdom of Yugoslavia
Both were capitalist countries, but not very democratic.
From 1943 to 1945 Yugoslavia did not exist.
From 1945 to 1991 it was the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
This was economically socialist (communist), but was politically neutral and not a member of NATO or the Warsaw pact.
From 1991 to 2006 Yugoslavia gradually broke up.
At the same time Yugoslavia and the new countries formed from it converted to capitalist economies.
During the Cold War there were many neutral countries in Europe, neither members of the Warsaw Pact or NATO:
Albania, Austria, Finland, Ireland, Switzerland, Yugoslavia.
"Because the Soviets never occupied Yugoslavia. Yugoslav partisans expelled the Axis from Serbia in 1944 and the rest of Yugoslavia in 1945. The Soviets and British Commonwealth forces linked up with them near the end of the war, but withdrew after Germany surrendered." (Bob Yahoo Answers)

What great power backed Serbia in 1914?
During the Serbian Campaign in 1914, Serbia was supported by France and opposed by Austria-Hungary and later, Germany and Bulgaria.
Serbia was a part of no formal alliance until 1912, but its independence was guaranteed by Russia in March 1909 in return for Serbian recognition of Austria-Hungary's annexation of Bosnia-Hercegovina.
In 1912 Serbia joined with Bulgaria, Greece and Montenegro in The Balkan League, with the intention of seizing the Ottoman Empire's European territory and dividing it up between them. Bulgaria went to war against its former allies the following year after being denied its agreed share.
How was Yugoslavia ruled under soviet control?
Yugoslavia was never under Soviet control. From 1945 to the late 1980's Yugoslavia was a communist state, but it was not allied to the Soviet Union or to the other communist states in Eastern Europe. It behaved separately from the Soviet Bloc and refused to ally with either the US or the USSR. It was an officially "non-aligned" country, just like India, which was a democracy but not allied with the US.
For most of its post-war history, Yugoslavia was ruled as a dictatorship by Josip Broz, aka. Marshal Tito. He maintained a centralised state to make sure that the member nationalities did not drift towards independence. In the late 1980's Tito died and Yugoslavia began to drift towards democracy. This was a problem because without communism to hold them together, the member nationalities started to go their own way. In particular, when Tito died, the constitution was changed to give Serbia much greater control over the rest of the federation. This annoyed the other nationalities and made them want to break away.

However, I would say that they probably will be coming to Serbia (or near Serbia) in the next couple of years when they go on a world tour.
