You dipped this 2-piece L shaped tin thing into the fluid and blew into the upper part of the tube. I'm not kidding. We used the stuff at home and it did us no harm.

It probably does but I couldn't find an exact match for it on managemylife.com where you can get free copies of most kenmore manuals. I did find a manual for the Kenmore 153.13141 which shows the manual for the 1341 model kenmore.

[I have this machine, and yes it does have a straight stitch. You simply set it to the zig zag stitch setting, and then set your stitch width to "0". It will then perform a straight stitch. -mmo)

There are several different prices, but it is also up to the seller to make the final decision on how much they really want for it...............I purchased one several months ago for $20, but probably would have paid the woman $50 !! It is well worth much more than that as it is a workhorse...........I can do just about anything with it, sewing wise, not quilting............hope that helps.......... There was an old Viking that went for $75, but that was just for the name. It was not worth it, as the Morse is made of metal and the Viking was made of someother type of material that did not come close the stability of the Morse.

The needle does not draw up the bobbin thread. In actuality, there are two "needles" used. The one you see, that moves up and down into the fabric, and another, underneath, which pushes the bobbin thread through a "loop" in the thread from the top needle. When the top needle begins to raise up, it pulls the threads tight. If your problem is that the top needle goes through the fabric, but does not "sew" it, first check to make sure the bobbin has thread in it. If it does, then check to make sure the machine is threaded properly. If it is, then the problem sounds like the bottom "needle" is not meeting the top needle at the precise time to push the bobbin thread through the loop. This is called being "out of timing". Just like in a car, all the cylinders have to be in the right place at the right time to make the engine run. Same thing in a sewing machine. The needles and the thread have to meet in the right place at the right time to work properly. If you are out of timing, unless you know alot about your machine, it will require a repairman to remedy this situation.

I find no evidence one the list of American Sewing Machine companies or on the wikipedia site. Smith and Wesson currently licenses several products under their brand name, but they are mostly gun accessories and police oriented products such as handcuffs and special bicycles.

You can braid your hair however you prefer. Some braid their hair straight back (normal cornrows), some braid their hair horizontally (across the head), & others braid their hair into a beehive (a spiral around the head).

It depends on your time, talent and the purpose for the doll. You can make a simple doll by putting a ball of "fiberfil" polyester in the toe of a knee-hi pantihose. Use a long doll sculpture needle and thread to sew through the ball and make "dimples" for the eyes, nose and mouth. You can use powder blush for cheek and lip color. For the more complicated dolls, which can take months to make, the skull is carved from a foam block .The skeleton is formed from sculpture wire. The muscles are added with polyester, the nylon "skin" is sewn on with "invisible" thread, hiding all the stitches in the creases. The hair is added in individual strands. Sometimes glass eyes are used . Of course the clothes are made to fit the persona of the doll. I sometimes extend the leg wires past the heels to mount the doll sculpture to the base.
