more than likely u tryed to pry the sensore out with a screw driver,, next time turn and wiggle from sise to side and will pop out,,, u have to drop the oil pan,, either it fell to bottom or u stick ur hand up there and push back threw with ur finger,, i did the same thing..
i used oversiized pliers and a torch to heat a dry wall screw and pressed it into the sensor. after it melted around the screw i pulled it out!

In my old 1999 Octavia I TDI (81 kW/110 HP) it was every 80,000 km. On the current 2005 Octavia II TDI (103 kW/140 HP) it is every 120,000 km. The interval is increasing in newer models as the materials keep improving. On higher performing (and more expensive) cars the trend is the chain again. im looking for the answer as well, tho i think it is around the 80k mark on your car.
Where are the fuses located in your Skoda octavia?
Depends on the registration. For a 2008+ Octavia, the fusebox is located to the side of the driving console. Open the driver's door and it's located on the side. There's a small notch near the bottom of the cover, which can be carefully removed with a flathead screwdriver. It's a bit of a pain to fit back again - just slide the panel back, making sure the relevant catches are lined up with the holes.
I'm not a mechanic or anything, just an Octavia owner.
How do you open a Skoda octavia driver's door that does not open from the inside or outside?
How to remove Octavia door card with door deadlocked.
all below is assuming cable to open door has snapped / jammed.
You will need the following
- a suitable torx bit
- 2 medium to large flat blade screwdrivers
- large phillips screwdriver
- small phillips screwdriver
- a Haynes manual is also a big help.
1. Open window all the way down
2. Remove triangular speaker from front of door at top of door card. Prise off with flathead screwdriver as it is only held on by 2 clips. Disconnect wiring.
3. Prise out small panel for electric mirrors with a flathead screwdriver. Remove phillips screw that is now visible behind the door pull handle.
4. Where you clasp your hand around the handle for, say, pulling the door shut after you get in the car, you will have to look and see that there is a small cylindrical plastic piece, about 10 cm long, that needs prising away with a flathead screwdriver. Remove this piece and then you should be able to prise out the entire panel for the electric switches for the windows and central locking. Remove this panel. Make sure to disconnect the wiring. You will notice that the base is held on by 5 phillips screws. Remove these and then the plastic base.
5. There are now 3 big phillips head screws visible. Remove these and note the order. The middle screw is longer and also has a white plastic bush.
6. Remove the 3 torx head screws from the bottom of the door card. You may have to use the torx bit and a pliers.
7. Pull away the door aperature weather seal from the bottom half of the B post.
8. Remove phillips screw from top piece of the cover that goes over the driver�s side seat belt. This is attached to the B post. Remove the bottom half of the same seat belt cover, attached by clips. From the back seat on the driver�s side you should gain access to the 2 hidden torx screws that were obstructed by the weather seal and seat belt covers.
9. From outside the car prise/lever off the top of the door card from the door frame. Be careful not to catch the window glass. The top of the card will now lift off the top of the door frame. Again, be careful not to damage it.
10. This gave me access to the door release cable which had snapped. Stuck vice grips on and pulled. Door opened.
11. You should now have access to the final set of torx screws that were hidden up against the a post.
12. Remove the red light that is visible when the door is open. Disconnect wiring. Remove tiny red light from extreme top of door panel near B post. Door card shoould now come off.
13. Bear in mind that I had a deadlocked door before I broke the door release cable. I tried thumping the door around the lock area from inside and outside. Tried every combination of pressing buttons and pulling on handles at the same time. Had also used a hair drier to heat up inside the door panel to see if this would help.
14. Note that if you are fitting a new door release cable - I got mine promptly via eBay, thanks Jo - that you don�t need to fully remove door handle and lock barrel. All you need is to remove the two large torx screws that hold the door lock in place. This gives you enough room to get the end of the new cable into its fitting in the lock. You will need help at certain times - thanks Linda - as three hands are needed on occasion.
Make sure you fit the outer cable correctly before reassembly.

What causing the exhaust emission warning light to come on Skoda octavia?
There is a sensor on the air breather which (internally) is made up of small strips of foil and if these strips get contaminated they stick together and trigger the light to come on. This happened to my 04 1.4 Octavia and it turned out to be a leaking exhaust box (back).light was on for a week but car was running ok; after fixing exhaust it took about a week for the light to go off itself.Other cause can be the switch itself but i would not change this until everything else is eliminated (switch is expensive). Other causes can be a problem with petrol mixture or anything that will cause the engine to lose power.If a fault is found and it is not the sensor i would not consider changing sensor for a few weeks as it will probably clear itself. The light on will not cause any problem, it only tells you that there is a problem. It is also worth checking that your fuel filler cap is on properly.
How do you remove front seats from Skoda Octavia?
Disconnect the battery (otherwise you may get the Airbag warning light on the dash… this will need VCDS or a dealer to clear the warning light)
Push the seats as far forward as they will go and then If you look at the rear of the seats you will a plastic trim that covers the the runners, these need to be removed (can't remember if these just slide over the runner or if there is a torx screw under a little round plastic plug - been a few years since I did a MKI Octavia) then push the seats as far back as they will go and then look under the front of the seat you will see two 13mm nuts in the centre, these need to be removed, then give the seat a good firm push towards the rear of the car.
Lift the front of the seat and unplug all the wires, push the seat as far back as possible and remove it from the runners, lift it out of the car.
