You can play Blu-Ray Movies only on a Blue Ray Player and the PS3 is also a Blue-ray player along with a game console. All Blue-ray Players will also play DVDs and CDs and many like the PS3 will upscale them to near 1080P quality if set up to play Blue ray discs in 1080P. My PS3 plays DVDs so much better that I have not used my DVD player since I saw the first DVD play on the PS3.

I like wii as well my kids would love it but now that PlayStation move came out its same thing has motion controlers and all these accessories for it with great camera that detects all that. Ps3 has the most powerfull mother board in it with 6 graphics cards and cores that make it really quick and great picture quality. I played so many games and i havent seen one go slow or freeze up.

So if you want controllers to play with like on wii just get ps3 they have that and many games are out for it now. Like socom and killzone all work with playstation move lots of kids games as well.

I want to play the psp console on the ps3 console. Ive read alot of mixed reviews, where I think people got confused about the question so Im going to try to be carefull of what I say.

You know how you can use the ps3 on the psp using remote play. YOu can see the ps3 screen on the psp and see stuff on the ps3 on the psp. I want to use that in reverse and use the psp on the ps3. I have heard you can play psp games on the ps3 using remote play. Such as instead of using remote play to play pictures, videos, etc. from the ps3 to the psp I want to do the reverse. I found a slight improvement in stability by using password protection. don't know why it worked , but it did. They say you can relocate your wireless router to provide a better signal. I just purchased an ethernet cable and ran it from the wireless router to the back of the PS3 and when I checked the connectivity the speeds had increased and I stayed with a wired system since then and have never lost a connection.

If you have purchased the correct cable you just plug it into the back of the PlayStation and into you TV HD Av inputs. My Sony TV has an HDMI and I just purchased a 6 foot HDMI cable to hook up the PlayStation 3 Slim to the TV, but since it also has other HD inputs I could have used them and still plugged the HDMI side into the back of the PS3. The PS3 does not come with HDTV connection cables, they are an optional item that you must purchase yourself. Target.com sells them as do many other stores and online sellers. The first thing you must determine is what kind of setup the TV has before you purchase cables. If it is like mine and has more than one kind go with the HDMI as first choice. Until you purchase the cable the one that is provided will still allow you to use the PS3

Currently the PS3 320 GB is selling with either a MW3 or a Uncharted 3 game as a bonus for only $50 more than the PS3 160 GB model or without the Game for $25 more than the $249.96 for the 160 GB PS3 model. If you have internet service in your home you can purchase a router so that the internet going to the computer can be split. It goes between the modem and the computer and has other ethernet plugs on it' back. You run a ethernet cable from the back of a PS3 to the back of the router SEE RELATED LINK

Check out other discs for example Blu-Ray and DVD movies to see whether the PS3 reads those as well as other games to make sure the problem is with it reading any disc and not just with that disc. Also try turning off the PS3 and re starting it to see if that helps.
