It could be acid indigestion, an ulcer, or acid reflux. If the pain is in the stomach region and actually feels like it's sore, it could be an ulcer. If it's higher up, even as high as the throat, and feels like burning, it could be reflux.
Pepcid, Prilosec, or Tums will help the symptoms if it's an acid problem, but it's best to get checked out by a physician because ulcers and reflux can be dangerous in both the long and short term.
