most likely need to replace wiper motor. they usually have the intermitnant electronic card inside the motor housing and do not usually sell it separate. changing the whole motor box should solve your problem.

Nobody knows because they last forever if maintained and not wrecked! I have had 5 Toyotas go over 100,000, of which 3 have gone over 200,000, and one over 300,000. when your looking at the engine look for a red color dip stick, similar to theoil dip stick. always ck the level after the car has been driven and has idled forat least 2 min and eng needs to be running. good luck

facing the engine, look to the lef rear of the top of the engine. It is difficult to see because it under wired and hoses. If you stand to the left side of the engine, Passinger side, and thrust your fingers under the cable and hose mess on the top rear you will be able to touch it. It is easy to remoe the hose goes from the valve arround the back for about 4 inches

dipstick clean and fully reinsert. Remove again and ensure level is between 2 dots on the dipstick. Wipe clean and fully reinsert.

Start engine and ensure oil pressure light extinguishes. Run engine for a few minutes. Turn engine off. Check for leaks at oil drain plug and oil filter.hahahahahahahahahaahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahaahahahhhh

The air cleaner will have to be removed to gain access to the thermostat. the thermostat is housed in the water inlet at the engine. Remove the housing and the thermostat will come out. Clean the old gasket material from the housing, replace the thermostat in the same direction as the old one, and reassemble the housing and air cleaner.

I have been reading a lot about the 2000 Toyota Avalon it has the same engine as the 2001,2002,and 2003. And I have read that do not use anything under 87 octane but maximum engine performance 91 or higher that is midgrade

honestly the best thing you could do is get a new vehicle. Models that old that have power windows/locks are screwed once they stop working..... cheaper to just get a new car Since you say they all went out at the same time, it is unlikely that it is a failure on the locks or window motors themsevles but it sounds like there is a bad wire somewhere...you would have to take it to a mechanic to find out what wire, without extensive electrical system knowledge.

i had the same problem...when it would lock me out i disconnected the cables to the battery and it would unlock the door.

no mechanics was willing to do it because of not knowing which cable was which, many recommended that a stereo installer or Toyota dealer, but i finally found a mechanic who had worked for Toyota and easily and quickly removed it.

another idea if you are car savy is to contact the alarm company asking for the instructions.

I have a different answer than the person above. If you've lost your keyless entry and the alarm gets tripped, try the following steps (I know it works in slightly older Avalon models): First, disconnect your positive battery node. then open the passenger side door and leave it open. Next, put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position (also if your car has a red button next to the steering wheel on the dashboard push it in). Reconnect the positive battery node and get into the car, leaving the drivers side door open (if the red led light has popped back out, push it back in). You should be able to start the car and the alarm should be disabled. Sometimes it takes and second run through of these steps before it works. Good Luck!

With an appropriate size spark plug socket (with the rubber insert to grab the plug) twist to the left. Keep turning until you can lift it out. When installing new plugs, torque to 14 ft lbs (no more or you risk stripping the threads in the cylinder head).
