How can I get from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport to Lorient with TGV train?

I did a quick search but could not find any entry though, which is quite surprising because you can find people selling back their tickets, so there's gotta be a direct line somehow...

I think it takes 4 hours and 40 minutes to get there in a direct shot (according to people selling back their tickets)

Another way to do this would be to board onto a RER trainall the way to the Paris Gare-du-Nord terminus, then go all the way down across Paris to the Gare-Montparnasse station, and finally board a TGV to Lorient. That ain't the simplest solution, especially if your're travelling with children and luggage, the crossing of Paris may prove to be a nightmare.

But at least you will be assured that there will be trains to Lorient. You can book your RER ticket (also comes as a booklet, just in case) on the spot at the CDG station, and get to Montparnasse with the subway, taxis or underground RER lines. (this website may be useful www.transilien.com for finding possible itineraries) But if you go for that option, do make a reservation on your TGV seats online from Montparnasse to Lorient!

Otherwise, a plane airfare to Lorient from the airport would be around 94 Euros, which is quite expensive as compared to railways...

What subway do you take to the Gershwin Theatre from Penn Station?

You have two options:

1) Take the Uptown A train (of the A-C-E, the blue line) from 34th Street-Penn Station to 125th Street. You could also take the C train, but it is a local train, so there are many stops from 34th Street to 125th Street. It's only 3 stops on the A train: 34th Street-Penn Station ---> 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal ---> 59th Street-Columbus Circle ---> 125th Street.

You will exit the subway at 125th Street and St. Nicolas Avenue. From there, it's just one and a half blocks east to the Apollo Theatre, which is at 125th Street between Frederick Douglass Boulevard and 7th Avenue.

2) Take the 2 or 3 trains (of the 1-2-3, the red line) from 34th Street-Penn Station to 125th Street (you could also take the 1 train, but again, the 1 is local, while the 2 and 3 are express).

You will exit the subway at 125th Street and Lenox Avenue. From there, it's one and a half blocks west to the Apollo Theatre, which is at 125th Street between Frederick Douglass Boulevard and 7th Avenue.

As for which option to choose: it doesn't matter that much. There are more stops on the 2 and 3 than on the A. As I said, on the A train, it's only 3 stops from 34th Street to 125th Street. On the 2 and 3, it's 6 stops: 34th Street-Penn Station ---> 42nd Street-Times Square ---> 72nd Street ---> 96th Street ---> 110th Street-Central Park North ---> 116th Street ---> 125th Street.

So, since it's 3 stops on the A and 6 stops on the 2 and 3, it seems to make more sense to take the A. However, the A train runs ridiculously slowly sometimes. I have no idea why, but sometimes it runs maddeningly slowly. Like, I could walk faster than it goes, sometimes.

If you're traveling during mid-day (say, 10 AM to 5 PM) then I'd take the 2 or 3, since mid-day seems to be when the A runs the slowest. During any other time, I would take the A.
