if you take off the trim around the steering wheel and look at the ign barrel housing at the top of the housing is a very small hole you need a very small screw driver or trim pick that has about one inch of the end bent at a right angle push the end of the pick into the Small hole and press down you will feel a sprung resistance at the end of the pick push down all the way at the same time as turning the key and the barrel will spring out. pull out the barrel and look at the end and see how it is lined up with the key .take the new barrel and insert the key and line it up as the new barrel .slide the new barrel in gently until it clicks. that's it .some times when you remove the old barrel the security lock drops and you cant get the new one in in this case look down the housing and with a screwdriver lift the lock up and the slide the new barrel in .making sure you press the sprung clip in as you do so.

Hi, manual says that there may be a fault with your air bag system.

Get it checked with a local garage with vauxhall diagnostic equipment.

My light went on when I removed factory steering wheel and replaced with aftermarket steering wheel (no air bag). The system senses that the air bag is not present, and "believes" that there is a fault with the system.

The most likely cause is a fault with the fluid level sensor.

The sensor was removed from production about 6 months after production started, as all cars had the light coming on.

If the level is Ok, your local Vauxhall dealer can probably reprogram the steering system to "ignore" the sensor.

Have just located fuel filter, It is on the passenger side just in front of the rear wheel next to the petrol tank, was having problems with the car stalling when ticking over seems to have cured fault hope this helps AJB

You will need to remove the alternator belt. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the alternator. Remove the alternator retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new alternator.

The oil pump is located inside the oil pan.

You have to drop the oil pan to replace the oil pump.

Then locate the active code and disable the code. Our if it is not possible to get hold of the computers need ed to trouble shot there is a write located in a large bundle if you were so inclined you can track down this wire and cut it thereby cutting power to the light however this is not recommended and extremely dangerous because it is possible to deploy your airbags if you just start citing writes and you could also permanently disable them thereby making them useless in a crash.so if the proper way to fix this problem is not an option try placeing a small peice of electrical tape (black of course) over the light and voila problem solved

if u mean the egr valve it is on top of the inlet manifold you will find it under the plastic cover on top of the engine if u remove the 3 star shaped bolts

Sounds like an air leak in the inlet hoses. check the inlet pipes from the air filter to the inlet manifold for splits
