It depends, First run a product key finder program ( search goggle ) and find the option : "change registered owner", enter your name and click "change", then reboot and go to the Microsoft "windows update" site, let Microsoft install the genuine checker", if your windows is registered to someone else you will get a "you have a illegal copy of windows" message, if this copy of windows is in fact YOUR copy then i would phone Microsoft choose the "anti piracy" option and tell someone at Microsoft about what has happened, if you can prove that it is you own the copy of windows then Microsoft will correct the problem.

The memory must be available, so no operating system can be loaded. Though technically there is no reason why you cant run it from a hard disk.

Yes, it is enough to run it but not enough to keep a steady performance rate, I would suggest windows XP if you really like the look and feel of WIN 7 however just install a WIN7 theme.
